are they fitted correctly?

Tyre size?

The helpers should be fully compressed under the weight of the car so you'd end up lower removing them

yeah , they are quite bolky tyres :/ 195/65/14 I'm gonna buy some new low profile tyres soonish , i did a bit of arche flaring which worked on the front but didnt really help on the back :/

i put the steels bk on with the rear coilovers still at the highest setting and its still really low , could there be something wrong with my rear coilovers ?

Your problem is gonna be those tyres because they are fucking huge.

surely the heighest setting shouldnt be like this on the back ?

i dont want to lower it  i need it higher  i think i found the problem out anyways :) the thing between the helper spring and the main spring ( spring seat i think its called) isnt moving so itsnt letting me adjust , so ill give it a clean and greasing up on my next day off :)

Just because there's thread there it doesn't mean its usable.

Also how are your top mounts assembled

On the front ones i can use al the thread? With the top mount i put it.bk together how i found it but with the coilover topmount instead of standard :)

ill take them apart tomorrow and rebuild them , it might be the top mounts , cuz its both the back ones so itll make sence :)

I'm using the ali one and the rubber on the very.top :)

Ohh thank god for that!

It should be this order anywho:

Coilover, 2 x adjuster, helper spring, seperator ring, main spring, alloy top cap, rubber top mount, castle nut, car body, retaining cup, nyloc nut.

If you have that then your reet. All that needs to move on the back is the adjusters can preety much be siezed :-)

turns out the top mounts were built wrong :( ( only cuz my uncle changed it cuz he thought he was right ) now i have no retaining cup because he put the bigger rubber top mount on the top :'( anyone got any spares ? :)

What the fuck.

You should have (on a 6n)

Front.

Coilover, adjusters, helper, spring separator, main spring.

Then on the damper shaft IIRC spring aid, small washer thing, bearing, top mount, nut, body, top cap, nut.

I had to fuck with spacers on the rear to get the thread right.

I had mine fully wound down with helpers and was only dropped about 90mm if that.

yeah apart from castle nut isn't a castle nut and top mount and bearing are separate :)

I don't. It took me about 2 mins to make a suitable socket and come off with ease haha
