Anyone know the standard ride height for a 6n 1.4 8v no arb. Need to know for insurence purposes. Admeral wont let me lower it more than 50mm on my coilovers. Cheers.

I know exactly how you feel... I'm with elephant and they are just admiral in an elephants suit so I can only go 50mm too... Shite eh..

Takes the piss a bit. I need to phone them and ask why my quote went up when i told them somone went into the back of me! Il ask about ride hight and why it affects quote while I'm chatting to them.

If there is no exchange of details for a minor bump dont tell them!!!! Apparently that means it is a million times more likely to happen again there for they can bump up your premium. What a freeking liberty!!!

That still isn't accurate as the suspension on that car could of sagged over time, so 50mm lower than that could be 60-70mm lower than the day your car left the factory.

Tbh its a load of bollocks, as long as your not blatantly taking the piss I very much doubt 10mm or some thing is going to make any difference

I questioned this and they said because I might want to claim for underside damage on speedbumps and such haha

My sierra is only about 40mm down and that still scrapes over some of the more mountainous speedhumps around here, I have no doubt in my mind even standard cars would scrape over some of them

Do it online, check "suspension changes" then deck the shit out of it...

my insurance gave me three of the following options when the asked about my lows.

1 - 0-5mm

2 - 5-20mm

3 - more than 20mm

So yeah, I picked more than 20mm
