Thats a good point. The whole point of coilies/airbags is so you can vary the height for what ever reason. Tbh i would not claim for underside damage due to it being my stupid fault for going too low. Same for wheel damage for a low profile tyres etc etc..

Why not just get a modified car policy? No point pissing about with normal insurance companies. I can do anything i want (as long as i dont exceed my engine power limit), and all i have to do is ring up and tell them i did it. Its more money, but is definately worth it for the freedom to mod.

Anyone know the standard ride height for a 6n 1.4 8v no arb. Need to know for insurence purposes. Admeral wont let me lower it more than 50mm on my coilovers. Cheers.

Just measured mine (standard suspension might of dropped a bit with age of springs/shocks etc) Front 620mm Rear 600mm sitting on 185/55/14

I'm with them and id say the service is very good. told them all the mods I've done and as long as i dont go over 200bhp i can do what i want. plus i always get a straight answer and theyll ring me instead of being on hokd for years on end. gotta find out my premium for next year and how much if i wanna go up a power band - just incase

Flux are good even with standard cars, I saved £400 with them and are pretty good with the claims too.

Try aviva, when i rang up and said it was lowered he didnt have a option for lows on his list so had to check with his manager, his manager asked how much by and why i had lowered it and i said "about 80mm, its a vw polo, you can get your head in between the tyre and the arch, it looks abit gay" to which he said okay and added £100 a year on :p
