I dont get how. i pay £122 a month and I'm 20 on a 1.9TDI and that has me and my girlfriend on it. Dont have any no claims discount either.

She drives a Vauxhall Zafira 2.2 SRI which is group 17 insurance for some reason.. and for me as a named driver it'd be £1500 for the year! I didn't think anybody would even have offered to insure a 17 year old with no driving experience on such a car.. Oh the shock haha! Gonna be paying the same kind of money for insurance on my wee 1.2 polo! Madness..

Girls still tend to get cheaper quote though so it shouldn't be as much of a shock. Shop around, easiest thing to do really.
