£120p/m on a 1.2 9N Polo, 02 plate.

That's with Direct Line, but it is my first car.

So in February I'll have 1yrs no claims, then give it a little while after that once I'm 21 and I'll see how much insurance on a decent 6n2 or 6n2 GTi would set me back. For now I'm starting to do some bits and bobs to my 9N.

 holy sh*t that's cheap! i paid nearly £3k for my insurance on my fisrt car :-/ (1.9 SDi 6n2)

but it has halved year on year since then which is good

i think my insurance is £900 fully comp on my GTi, (mum and dad as named drivers also) and aswell as, i'm on student insurance which also helps

Most people I assume also add mods which will add to their insurance cost and means that less companies will insure them, whereas your car is a standard gti.

yeah true, just to stay on the legal side i surpose

a few people didnt want to insure me, as i am a 20yr old male who drives a car with "GTi" in the title

get to 21 and it will fall dramatically, especially if youve been driving since 17

Cheers man, i'm glad you like it, i'm just keeping OEM with a few added touches

I'm not one for "slamming" it and all that, a sporty stance, maybe

cheers :)

yeh i was thinking of it, i might get some springs, but only the most minimal drop i can find, like 25mm or 30mm

Ayee I've got springs on mine, it's a droppage of 60mm front and 45 on the back Fk springs, but I'm guessing its different on the Gti 6n2 compared to 1.0 6n2's if its not there's loads, go on eBay mate where I got mine from

ah sweet, i need to keep the same height drop front and back, as i have 195 tyres on the front and 205 on the rear, the last thing i want is scrubbing :/

how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? new or used?

it is different yeh, the GTi sits 15mm lower already compared to the other 6n2 models

Ayee haha and no worries pal, it was 65 or 70 quid if a can remember, but fk site have deals on ATM as I'm thinking if getting coilovers and ah right never knew that like haha
