are you sure they didnt take mk3 to mean 6n?

and i thought your mate who works at vw was doing it for you?

I had 256mm brakes under BBS RA 14" wheels. Best brakes I've had on any car. Braided lines a good fluid too. Would pull up from 90MPH in a jiffy...almost too good!

See thats just it, there's too many changes of story and too good to be true prices, but more than anything I'm finding it impossible to believe that some one who hasn't even bothered to research brake upgrades for the polo has done enough home work on this conversion to be able to claim "its not that hard"

I do honestly hope that some thing does come of this, but unfortunately I see nothing here to separate it from any of the other threads like this that never come to anything

Still waiting to see proof of these loads of mk3 polo VR6's driving around wakefield too

Its all about fitting a Saab 95 Aero engine......none of this VR6 nonsense, 250 BHP without tuning <3

Standard internals good for around 4/500bhp too I believe?

Lol earlier Saab engines are amazing. MOAR BOOST.

...and what? BWARPPPP

The B234R out the 9000 Aero is what you want. The B235R in the 9-5 Aero has chocolate rods and pistons in comparison - much like the 6N vs 2F debates often seen on here!

calibra blocks with better crank and turbo and a beter flowing head i believe? Why not!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! GM bolt pattern on the transmission, but deffo not a Calibra block. You can trace the routes of the engine back to the old Triumph slant 4 though.

300-320bhp is about the limit on the 9-5 motors apparently, but the 9000s are supposed to be good for 400bhp or even 450bhp if PPC magazine are to be believed. Yoof and I have bought a GT3071R huffer to stick on my old 9000 motor to find out.

Oh, and to get one of these in an early chassis Polo needs a bit more than a Salzmann frame - they're big lumps, but anything's possible.

yeah Gm pattern block so plenty of gm to ford bellhousings around :unibrow:

Am sorry lads but its hapnin I'm fully aware of the what has to be carried out and veedubs at gateshead was 1150 just for the work for it all to fit

Thought you were fully aware of what needed to be carried out? Or is this not you asking the below question on polo3 about 2 hours ago?

Guna keep a look out for a decent engine for my polo could do with a list of possible engine swaps? As anyone on here put 20v turbo or a vr6 in on here coz ther dosent seem to be many about on google, ther ment to be a pain to do

If you need any info on the conversion why not ask one of the many owners of vr6 mk3 polo in wakefield?

If its not you then you might want to phone the police as they are claiming that they own your car

Seriously mate, all you had to do was ask rather than making up bullshit about how you were going to do it, had bought the engine and had made up quotes for the work. Why would you try and claim it "wasn't that hard" when you didn't even know what it entailed, and then tried to argue when people who do know said that it was hard? We can be a piss taking bunch on here at times but we can also be very helpful, don't feel like you have got some thing to prove to us, after all we're all here for the same thing

If you're going for big power you may aswel upgrade to some 4 pots or something.

Tbh if you can get a vr6 lump fitted to a mk3 for just over a grand a set of brakes will be pennies in fantasy land ;)

Ye. I've heard that, shame if it is true. Green injector 95 Aero's are 300BHP. Wheels spins in 4th when in flappy paddle mode, also wheels spins in full auto set in sport.

the stock gearbox on the old 9000 were good for 500+bhp if the Americans are to be believed, but the clutch pipes had a habit of failing (abbot racing make the uprated pipe, single length of high pressure braided line, instead of the metal-rubber-metal stock setup).

your all doing it wrong ....... I've had put shit loads of Engines in a 306 .. Vr6, AFH, and even a rs lump ..

Boot space is quite good tbf ...
