Evening,

Well I thought I would help the forum out and hopefully get the year book back, so I threw together something a little basic but would work out as a poster/brochure/leaflet for those who would want one.

I put a little twist on the "year book" and intentionally it could be made out of 1 peace of A4 Photo paper (to save production costs) and folded into 3 sections with the main information being on the first page (FRONT). Then the rest of the "book" to be a polo-show highlight and other shows with club polo stands through pictures and writing, with maybe a back page to have a "best build section" From new to old throughout the year on here!.

This A4 sized "book" could be made out of thick photo paper, Glossy style, To give a professional appearance and feel. Making the best out of the photo section to give the best quality. Getting them professionally printed will make sure they look top notch. Including a inside sticker with the "book" could make it more desirable. The only problem is the cost. Maybe we could introduce a £2 charge *IF THEY ARE THE BEST THEY CAN BE!*. Able to stand up free of itself and look eye catching.

Here is the leflet style, A4 page, folded.

First page description, Open it up to be welcomed with a "best build section", then open again for a simple but effective summery of the years shows

Ahaa. I would love to get more involved in this forum as it is sutch a good place. A few spare hours were all I'm doing is rotting on my laptop could be productive. I started at 9pm last night and finally posted it at 10:44pm. Was only basic just to show a idea. But know I've had a bit more response I can put more effort into making it look propper.

Need some mods and admistrator help :)

Nice work - I like it! I think we should have a chat at Polo Show if you're off and we'll see where the idea goes?

This was messing around on P.S as I got bored last year.. Nothing special just random mockups.

As we have other plans now "K03" we are working on more important things.

Then of course the Flyer that I made.

I like all of them ahaha. I am know were near as develop to do stuff like that on Photoshop. I'm gonna give it a goo tho

Thanks, I have never had a yearbook as of me being new to the forum, the fact that it had gone and a lot of people were missing them I thought i would put some input in. A build section would be nice, personally I was thinking due to cost is that the last 1s were discontinued Less pages more info

Would need to speak to you all tho, regarding it. Point me in the right direction and boundaries and ill get some designs going.

So here's what I've been doing lately;

After some contact with a existing member he decided to send me some copies of the past years, Yearbooks. So i got a 2006 and 2007 1 staring Chris Scragg's 9N, with the other 1 showing Daniel Mokhtari Mk3 G40 restro. Big thanks to K03 for them!!

So I've read through them already and must say that there are some cracking idea's that got me thinking.

So we could have it, A4 sized (Pages a3 sized like above ^^) OR, A5 sized (Pages A4 sized) Printed maybe 10 pages including front cover, Depending on recommend content.

- Now to fill the pages, I found in the copies I got that there was a New model of polo page witch was interesting but maybe we could reverse that with a older twist. Set back in the 80-90's maybe?

- Also there was a few pages of, Readers rides?, Now we could have a post/vote on who (3 people) has the best 2012 build thread New or old?.

- Then a page on the event calender for 2013 (As this wont be out till say November time?)

- Few highlights on what shows were on this year, Early edition, Edition 38, dubs in the park. What not.

- Col large of pictures of polo's throught 2012, Build threads off here/show pics.

- Double page spread of the Polo show 2012, with pictures and add ons :)

- Whats hot, Whats not? VOTES!!

- DIY - Do it your self pages of, Spraying, Wrapping, common faults throughout all models

- Detailing/car cleaning (IN and OUT) guide to the show standard finish for 2013

- Nice page split on showing all discounts/recommended codes for polo/car bits, and Merchandise.

- Club polo outside sticker in colours (Black, Blue, Red, White)

All idea's, Might start mocking up some idea's over this long weekend when I'm not busy.

Dependant on size and including a sticker, Maybe a small charge should be introduced to cover the makings.

I personally would like to get a 2012 1 out there, so any help/idea's will be wonderful.

I have added that to make it more desirable due to none of them out there. I truely wont to make one thats gonna be remembered instead of paid for and put in the bin.

I've only had one yearbook, had Ttej's mango MK1 in and was done with Pinches and Danny Lee iirc, think it was 2008? Well it was a nice enough read for 5mins but i think that instead of focusing on a fancy pro cover as focused so far in this thread, there should be more emphasis on the content - i wanna see an A4 size book and i want more than six pages. I know it cost money and is being achieved by volunteers working for one of the cheapest clubs in the business, but still.

Most importantly i want diversity. I don't want 482 angles of the same 9n on A8 wheels, there are hundreds of Polos here i never see and it's a bit fresh for people to bitch about having to be part of a clan on other sites, only to have to be part of a clan on this one to get in a yearbook.

Gimme something you could put a barcode on, its once a year.

Paper is doomed, let's throw the final few out with a bang, and let me know if i can help.

heres an idea.. pay £5 for membership, recieve COLOUR sticker of your choice( to tell between members and non members as non members can only buy silver)

+ membership card in post!

then have a secret section on here that only paid members can see, and have an online yearbook! no more postage fails, free to put up, and we can see it when we want!
