Thoughts?

Do it digitally.

Decent printing costs similarly high amounts of cash. Hence why a lot of mags seem to be printed on bog roll at the moment.

I'll vouch for the yearbooks taking ages though. Did two, I think? Or maybe three? 2004, 2006 and 2007? The more I got obsessive with it the longer it took. The first A5 mag took me easily a couple of days (in work hours) to do.

But yes digital is the way forward. So either a monthly digest of what's happening with the club, plus a build thread of the month, would work well. It also means image quality isnt so much of an issue. Paying money for a yearbook is a non-starter.

I think I'm agreeing with MikeyMK for once...

So righty hoe;

- PDF format

- Free

- Good content

Page content;

- Best build sections

- what happened Monthly in 2012

- New arvials who made a big impact?

- Show content

- Polo show content

- 2013 content

- Discounts

- Appreciation pages (Readers Rides)

Any more ideas?

I think monthly is too often unless someone is committed to doing it

Well you could have a different person each month. Or choose a build and get the owner to do a write up then just needs someone to Wang it togethe

Whats a yearbook? :lol: never had 1 either years :/

would be sick to get it going again though

Thats a good idea.. Competition for best months build/modifications. So like the owner rights up how and pictures like a leaflet styleyy

I like the yearbook - (Like said its part of the £5 membership) so we should get it going again

If anyone needs a hand with PDF generation I am happy to help out where I can.

It would be possible to have ideas submitted for a monthly/bi-monthly PDF. Could be written by different people and then edited by a couple of people into something that's fitting.

Even if people do the hard work of sourcing interesting content then making up a few articles wouldn't be too hard. M

Might be nice have some sections like: club news/events and shows/car or build feature/product features/guides/best thread recap (evo magazine do this and it's always funny!)

Cheers man, Will get incontact if needed. Like the ideas

Do a monthly newsletter and a yearly Yearbook.

Both digital, but maybe one as a mail shot?

Can that be done?

Saying that if you do it as a mail shot I think you need people's permission. Fine for existing members though.

But wouldn't the year book suffer from the monthly bit steeling the highlights.

the whole point i was getting at, was have the monthly updates, and then at the end of the year put them all together as the yearbook with some added stuff. so then its like a 2012 highlights thing or something
