Hellloooo! Recently purchased a 9n (as said above) Just looking at getting it remapped,

I was just wondering what price i should expect to pay and what gains i will get from this?

And if anyone has any places to recommend that would be great!

Also any other mods for power gains on these?

Cheers for the reply's, seems to vary a fair bit from place to place.. Guessing the only way of knowing is to take it somewhere where they have a rolling road aswel? Otherwise your just going on their word..

You would NEVER get that high of a gain :/ considering if you remap a vw golf gti mk5 2litre turbo, you only gain 40bhp and my friend works at mp motorsports and these are the figures and prices he gave and he said the more you start with the higher the gain, golf has 200bhp. Golf after remap 235-240bhp, vw polo 1.9tdi sport 130bhp, after remap 140-145bhp (if very very low mileage 150bhp at very most)

If you don't believe me go to somewhere that does remaps and they'll give around the same figures as me !!

Bickerton is prob one of these guys that puts racing stripes, halfords air filter and a exhaust tip (not back box) and expects atleast 400-700bhp and that is on something with like 55-65bhp, so if you have more than that, clearly more BHP pahaahaa so funny

I think you'll find tdi's remap a better than petrols. If your car is a PD100 engine you'll get about 140bhp if it's a PD130 you'll get about 175. I've seen this proven on dynos. Stop talking shit when you don't know what you're on about.

TDi remap better than petrol remap for like for like engine's on stock internals ( 1.9TDi VS 2.0T )

i've done that to mine and done a rolling road tested and got 203BHP from a 1.9TDI PD (150) engine from a golf GT with various other mods done to it, goes like stink!!!!

and i get 50MPG easy soooooo :p

Firstly, go die.....

I base my price range on the minimum being awesome are currently doing a half price revo remap offer on the pd diesels, mid range price would be another generic map company such as shark to which there are various people that do it in a franchise kinda way like with the revo ones.

Top end I posted would be a custom map which I would suggest if you were to add more breathing mods or even larger injectors from a pd 130-150 along with their inlet and a FMIC

The gains I stated are those quoted across the boards on the generic map conpanies like.revo and shark, some custom maps could get more but the pd100 isn't as strong as the 130 also the duel mass may have a significantly shortened lifetime.

If you wish to make any assumptions about me and what I do or don't know about something, please continue but I may surprise you..

I can only assume you based your response upon your posts in another thread about the camber adjustment or lack of it on a 9n, to which even tho your Nissan friend has his views on it I base mine on fitting several kits and having my tracking done by a specialist not mrtyres.

Rtech did my 130 PD Golf and squeezed another 40bhp and 50 lb/ft out of it for £250 - they know what the're doing and its all RR tested

Its the increase in torques that's the best bit about it - you can leave all sorts for dead on the mway when you floor it in top and still get 65mpg, just great fun, careful with your clutch tho - the extra torque will eat it if you abuse it - Rtech check your clutch on the RR.

Without wanting to enter an interesting thread debate, yes it's possible to achieve around 45bhp on a very healthy PD130 but it's being pushed very hard to get there. Ideally you want to aim for a blended stage 1 @ 35bhp/39lbft or Stage 2 @ 43bhp/48lbft
