hi guys i swapped my mk1 cabby for the polo 6n i have now as i wanted a running project which is also cheap to run , tax & insure!

when i 1st got it i knew i was gunna have fun preping the bodywork as the paint was awful! it had been sprayed matt black and then sprayed with graffiti paint luck!

( not for me)

also interior wasnt the best it had 5 door seats in it so was a pain to let people in etc so done a few bits and bobs to it : sprayed centre heater dial surround grey, and then bought a set of 3 door 6n2 gti seats( much much better) also centre fascia that goes arround heaters etc was all cracked so got hold of one for cheap and he gave me the door speaker covers aswell ( nice guy)

then i was starting to think what colour to spray the car hmmmm creme!

so on the phone to the paint man to sort me out a deal

deal was done :)

happy days

on to the lights : it was all a miss match i had clear indicators all round and then smoked tail lights( looked like they were lexus ones sprayed over with satin black)

so i changed all the lights back to cl style amber etc looks a look smarter i think anyway!

on to the prep work :/

cut the very long story short i had to take all the graffiti paint off the car to prevent reaction when it gets sprayed sooo..... 10 hours later and 9 oclock in the evening i had finally got somewhere i had managed to get both wings , both doors , both rear quaters, tailgate and rear bumper done felt tired so came home.thats where i am at the moment will be in work tomorrow doing the sills and front bumper, bought a new bonnet as it was wank!

this is how it looked when i got it except it was blue etc and had clear headlights idicators and a standard backbox! ( thank god lol)

hi guys and thanks for your comments yeh i got it off here about 2 months ago the paintwork was awful and i mean AWFUL I've spent the last week sanding all the dogey paint off the car with the DA and 80 grit!!!!

I've changed my mind on creme aswell I'm now going grey!

i will post some pics up on here of how it looks now in the preping stage as soon as i can and then the finished pics :)

also thinking of converting it to a g40 as I've found one that has been parked up for a while :)
