hey this is my coupe s. runs like a charm even on 150k.

whats been done -

stainless 4 branch manifold

poly bushes all round

uprated springs + shocks (i dont know what brand, sits quite high but still very stiff)

vw 'tarantula' wheels

powerflow exhaust

and a small amount of I.C.E

Then i changed the coupe s grill for the single lamp grill

What next..

back window tint

refurb wheels possibly to black

chrome mk1 style bumpers

set of new lower profile tyres

new paint job, eggshell or a murky green colour

and then bike carbs i think (iv heard r1 jets are the perfect size) :-)

Lovely colour, if you were gonna paint the wheels would you consider painting them a bronze/gold sort of colour? I think it would go well with whatever shade of red your car is. :)

Bike carbs... Jetting them is not difficult, at all, so pick up whatever you can find. Like a set of Keihins from an old CBR 600. You'd pick them up dirrrrt cheap.

i like the bronze idea :) ill have a gander, i might matt the paint to give a rat look and i think bronze wheels would possibly look really good. and with the jets is it just a case of hand drilling them? bogg bros have said 1.6mm would be the best size, which i would expect id find on 1000cc+ and i guess they are smaller for smaller bikes? also if you know the best fuelling method let me know

To be honest I personally think all that would really ruin the car. The current colour looks good and the body work looks in ok condition too.!

Thats a very rare colour! Be a shame to respray it, but at the end of the day, it's your car to do with what you want .

Small bumpers don't work. The lines in the car are all wrong. Both front and rear wings have cut outs for the bumper returns that will be visible with smaller bumpers. Plus 'ratting' a car. Seriously? It's nice the way it is. Lower it, spend the £1800 you would on a spray job on some wheels. Much better use of the money :-)

Oh no no I wouldn't go ratty tatty with that paint work, it's too good! (well, from what I can see)

Lad! You can buy 4 jets for about £5 or £6, and it's best to work in microns: i.e. standard main jet 180, jetting down to 160 etc. Suppose you could meausure jets in mm but it just seems a little inaccurate! (having said that, I work with 125 2 strokes, not cars so don't listen to me. :) )

just gonna give the boggs a call when i get round to it and as for the paint, i was under the impression the colour was quite common but thinking about it i have only really seen one or two the same, there is a couple of trouble spots which need doing but you have convinced me not to change
