hey guys just want to know if 165s on a 7j on the fronts is going to be pushing it, i know its not mental stretch but i mean if i go slighty fast round a corner are they gonna come off?? may be a stupid question but just want to know, thanks!

Doubt they'll cone off so long as you keep the pressures checked

Yup can get bridgestones for a couple of quid more than nankangs in a 50 profile.

A 45 profile looks stupid on such a skinny tire, get 50, as for the stretch I had 165/50's on a 7.5 and pushed them hard and they were fine

you can get nankang as-1s in 165/45, only want to go 45 as i have 175/50s now and when turning they scrub like hell, so 45s would prevent that as i want to go lower too :)

175/50's are quite a lot larger than 165/50's. The only reason why I wouldn't get 45's is that you'll catch your wheels lips easier

if thats the only reason then its not a huge bother as everywhere i park is not near kerbs and if i do park by a kerb i always open the door to make sure i dont smash my wheels

ah good point, but wont 165/50s cause same amount of scrubing when turning as the 175/50s...?

165/50's are tiny tires so 45's are just going to be stupid. The bridgestones are a much better tire aswell, I was almost tempted to get 165/55's to replace my 165/50's but settled on 185/45's. At the end of the day it's your car and you can do what you want but I'm just giving past experience
