Got a phone call the other night asking if I knew anyone interested in a 2 liter sierra for scrap value, well long story short me and a mate now own it

No reason to believe the 40k on the clocks isn't genuine

Got a bit of rot to repair but all seems simple enough

Engine is quite clean and runs nice and smooth other than a blowing exhaust gasket

Plans are to get it mot'ed, after that weld up the diff, chop the springs, side exit, fit recaro's and more than likely paint it although we haven't decided on a colour yet

Dam my phones predictive spell checker with its American library

Proudly made in America

Apart from those little bits looks pretty solid, gonna be on its hoop ratted drifter then?

A little bit of rot? Bet those points are just the tip of the Iceberg

My dad had one of these for a daily when I was really young, awesome car aha.

Nah pretty sureI've found all the rot (there are a few other small holes here and there), its already been for an mot recently so all the holes have been highlighted on nice yellow crayon 8-)

Started bolting the front recaro's in but they are not the straight fit we thought they would be, just gotta wait for this rain to piss off so I can get stuck into the welding

Yeah it is Jon, we've been running over a few idea's and what not but it feels really good to have a full blank canvas and not give a shit about the car and know we can be as silly as we like with it and just have fun with it

Drift car? Screw that, clean it up and drop an XR4x4 drivetrain in it...

I approve this message.

Put on a 44 IDF webber and a 4~1 exhaust and you'll release 50+ bhp

You do know why its called a XR4x4?

Those plans are pretty close to what I would eventually like to do to my sapphire, although I would be going for the v6 cossie lump out of the Scorpio

Cheers Nige i'll look into that mate 8-)

Finally got all the welding done and the other stuff it failed the mot on (hand brake and blowing downpipe), the down pipe was sorted by fitting a 4 branch. I've also fitted some recaros and (2) cosworth dog leg alloys. It's booked in for the mot on Wednesday

Once the mot is out the way there's a twin choke weber to go on it and then the fun mods can be done 8-)

Siiickk!

Get the polo done though

GOOD LAD.

At least it's not fucking jap.
