Rob I agree with what you say about this country, our 'justice system's sides with the criminal, our immigration system and policy is an absolute joke, the benefits system is boarding on criminal. Non of this can be squarely blamed on the current government as most of it was put in place by the previous one, but the current one has to take a large chunk of the blame for not doing anything to address any of the main problems.

My uneducated opinion on what should be done is... Get the fuck out of the euro experiment so we are free to make decisions for ourselves rather than having to ask other for permission (and it being denied) first. Then refuse entrance to anyone who hasn't got anything to offer us (this isn't racist, plenty of other countries have this policy), refuse benefits for any immigrants that haven't worked here for a set amount of years (same with free housing ect, watch the number of 'asylum seekers' plummet), can't find work? There obviously isn't any so go elsewhere. Anyone that shouldn't be here should be kicked straight out and anyone given a deportation order should be put straight on a plane and fucked off, no costly appeals or 'human rights' bullshit, put them straight on a plane and fuck them off home. Anyone claiming benefits such as job seekers allowance should be asked to do a small amount of unpaid labour each week in return for them, refusal or unwillingness to do them properly should result in benefits being stopped. People visiting this country shouldn't get free health care, the nhs was setup to provide free health care for the people of this county, not the rest of the world, want treatment and haven't paid into the system? Get your wallet out. Fuck foreign aide, we borrow billions of pounds just to give it to some one else to make the ruling classes feel good about themselves, if they need the money so much let them borrow it themselves, half of these countries are in a better financial position than we are for fuck sake, why are we giving them money we don't have?

Those few things alone would save the country billions upon billions, but it will never happen because all the major parties are the same and they are only in it for themselves, not for the best interests of this country and its people like they should be. They won't want to rock the boat with massive sweeping changes as they don't want to risk not getting another 4 years of cushy pampered easy life swaning around the world mingling with the rich and powerful.

Having worked & lived in the USA for 18 months, I would like to see some of their laws implemented into UK law:- The right to carry arms and the right to defend your own property with arms ie you can shoot anyone who has intent to steal your property or harm you/your family

The UK firearms policy is sh*te if you want to legally have a firearm for sporting or vermin control you need to hold a firearms certificate, to get this you need to get signatures from doctors etc then you have to have a police interview and a visit from the plod to ensure you have the correct security measures for the storage of a weapon, then you might get the certificate to have a shotgun etc. Yet a criminal can get a banned weapon in a pub for a few (relativly) quid. The UK laws have made it allmost impossible for a sane UK citizen to gain a certificate to own a firearm yet the criminals can get them with no problems.

^This a million times over (with proper restrictions).

You can claim you have a weapon in you house, Ie a shot gun., If you are able to hold a Citizen arrest till armed police get there.

When mine and another 12 cars got smashed up by bottle wielding drunken arseholes a few years back, I got a phone call from the police the next day asking if there was any blood on my car. As there was, a forensic unit came out at 9pm, and took samples from the blood splatter on the car. this was enough for the police to prosecute two of the three that done it.

I think he means that this would be the first time he actually committed the offence... as in, he would be prosecuted for an offence that hasn't been done yet, so go out and do it.
