What are the best tyres for my Borbet T's 14" 7j

I've been looking at threads but need a decsion!

165 45's or 175 50's would be best

Just realised your's are 14s ... Erm well 165/55s would be perfect

195 45 14 mate, you want as much tread on the tarmac as you can. EG stay with your current ones

why wold you mention banding if you know they are alloy could do with an arch shot from the rear of the car to see if stretch is needed but i'd get your arches rolled if you haven't already, also what are the wheel widths front and back? may need very slight stretch for the fronts if you go lower

175/50, i have some for sale aha

tbh really, 165/55 as they're 7s.

I have the 155/55 on my 7s and 165/55 on my 8s,

Does depend how low you're going and what arch clearance you have.

The tyres rub thats why i need a change, The arches have cut all the walls on the rears!

They'd probably rust anyway once you rolled them so may aswell do it, you wouldn't be able to get enough stretch to miss the arch lips completely if you lowered it more you know, get em rolled! Then look at tyres

but once you roll them seal them

well use any underseal type paint but make sure once you've rolled them you dont get any in any visible places just on the rolled bit, also tyres for 14s are sorta difficult to choose really, i was looking into getting 14s a few months ago and found these options:

155/55/14 nankangs at about £47 each

165/55/14 bridgestones at about £70 each

175/50/14 budgets at about £40 each

not sure what they'd look like as I've never had any but google those sizes to see other brands etc... also go on tyrestretch.com for pics

you most certainly can not 14" is the diameter of the inside of the tyre edges so a 13" tyre physically wont fit, neither will a 15" tyre

195/40-14 sit nice on my 7j's

you've updated the first post with the width is 7j which is good, 6j isnt wide enough and 8j would be too wide so you can choose what tyre you want really but yeah the sidewalls look flat at the moment so they are the perfect size for them really without stretch but if you go lower and get stretch you may run the risk of the arch hitting the rim if they are just near enough! so the arches do need rolling, you may be able to cheekily space them then also

yeah, well I'm lowered 40mm with 8mm spacers,Rubs with one person in back.

I want to go 60mm, ill be rolling arches!

So what tyres would you go for, I need a final decision, The tyres I've got the walls run on the arches so need a change?

Just fit standard wheels if you can't cope with wider ones. Either that or hand in your licence, you're a danger to other road users Gonna fit 21" tyres to my 14s blad
