I went to jump into my car this morning to go to work and saw that some absolute ass hole has seen my car and have booted the shit out of my passenger door. No idea why, no idea who. Just thought id have a little rant about it and see who has also been affected by assholes smashing shit out of your cars.

My dads mates BMW was trashed by jipo's 1 night. Cost like his insurance 9k. But seriously why! Sorry to here about that but if that happened to me I would try find who it was and go treat them a visit.

Yes! I found my wyre Forrest dub club sticker about 30ft from my car yesterday. I was gonna pull it off anyway tbh.... Since I'm no where near wyre Forrest.

i had my brand new pressed plates ripped off by a bunch of knobs at college...the only way they can now remove them is with a torque spit screw...they aint that clever!

had some pathetic sodd key my drivers door outside my work turns out it was a "friend" who didnt relise there's cctv there needless to say i had a "word" with him also had somone steal my wiper blank lol

Someone stole my front wiper blades... They were nice enough to leave the metal arms down on some paper against the windscreen.

it didnt happen to me a such, but a car came into my mates work with c*nt etched above the fuel filler cap.

was down at morrisons with a group of mates, we went in to morrisons and when i came out, some "nice person" had nicked all 3 wipers and my standard plastic dust caps.

I think i know who did it, but i'm waiting for them to admit it (unless he doesn't have the balls) and he owes me £15 for some replacements.

Makes it worse that it was raining at the time too, so had to keep speeding and heavy braking so that I could get the rain off the windscreen!

Its mental the shit people do ini. I cant believe some of the stuff you lot have had done to your cars. Interesting to hear though

I used to live in one of the worse car crime areas of bedford at one point.

My 309 Gti was broken into 3 time. One for nothing. Second time also seemingly for nothing, glove box left open and the last time they tried to steal the car and had repeatedly kicked the steering wheel in an attempt to break the lock. The lock held and the steering wheel was bent to shit. As they couldn't steal the car they stole my spare wheel which was an alloy.

The funiest one for me though is someone broke into my old sierra by breaking the glass sunroof. It was a bit sharp after tht and they cut themselves on it leaving a spot of blood on the roof. Turns out the guy was already inside an got an extra 2 years on his sentence. Only time I've had any sort of justice from a car break in.

Few years back I was parked in a car park on a sunday night trying to work out where the feck I was, literally the only car in a 300 space car park. Nipped in to a shop, got directions, came back out and some bloke told me that someone had reversed into my car and driven off. Both him and a couple who were walking past agreed, gave me descriptions of the car, driver and passenger. The car's reg number and direction of travel, along with their names, addresses and phone numbers as witnesses and a camera phone picture of the car driving off. I went back in the shop and asked and the car park was coverred by CCTV, but they'd only produce it for the police

I phoned the local police, explained all that and they told me there was nothing they could do, but that I should report to the nearest police station with my documents within 7 days. I called them a set of useless nice people who were scared of doing police work and put the phone down.

The next day I got a spare indicator from a scrapyard, pulled the wing out and didn't cry about the cracked bumper.

About a week or so later, someone smashed in every panel and all the windows on the car that had backed into me with a sledgehammer.... No idea who did that like

Worst bit is, if they'd have stopped and said sorry, I'd have probably just said buy me a pack of beers and don't worry about it, shit happens.

A few months later, someone explained about the Motor Insurer's Beureux and untraced drivers claims. Bit annoying really, if I'd have claimed through them it'd have saved me buying an indicator and slipping someone £50 to find me an address from a reg number (and getting paint on my sledgehammer ).

How did you track the car down from the reg number? Does that DVLA form to get the owner's address really work?

Yep, I've done it before. Got a list of all three owners' addresses (including my own...) and documents showing that it had a private registration when the first owner had it.
