well my question is the interchangeable bit as I'm thinking of using a g40 ecu on my turbo afh for a start before megasquirt just wanna know if the ecu connections are the same and the plugs to join the injection looms to the main engine bay loom is the same

yeah I'm unsure where it all plugs in bla bla

i will just splice looms together if i need to for the various parts

what are all the sensors the g40 uses as this will help people to so they know what else it has over the standard 1.3

think it has a nock sensor? i think thats the main difference.

charger mounts not a problem as its only an extra brace for the charger, grinded mine for ease of mani removal, problem is your standard mani may be in the way of the charger being tensioned.

saf does have a standard g40 mani iirc.

nah i have a 4 branch thats the problem lol, it dont have the bend to go round the charger lol

my block has the tapped hole for the knock sensor

they also have the wide open throttle sensor

any other sensors they use over a standard 1.3

Loom has co pot, W.O.T. switch, idle switch, fuel rail, lambda, knock sensor, coil, dizzy, ecu, which also has a MAP sensor.

The engine loom and ecu are all standalone and there's very few wires you need to splice into for the fuel pumps and an ignition live circuit.

There's no other thread bar the supercharger? FAQ thread that you need to read on this subject!

Ps fucking forum filters turning w o t into what. FFs!

sorted.

well that makes it worse then

Still doing it cheaply isnt easy, a good condition charger is going to set you back £200-300, charger/engine mount, boost pipes, intercooler, some sort of management, carb...its going to add up :/

I do actually have a spare intercooler now you mention that.

Lets not forget getting the charger to fit in a mk2 aswell
