long storie short.....!!

i have a 6n2 polo tdi AMF engine code.. reacently done a headgasket all working fine up untill a few days ago ( new headgasket has done over 3000miles)

it start fine in the morning performs well the lot....... it will get up to tempeture 90 and the idlin will be a bit funny.. but still drives ok!!

get home. turn the car off and it refuses to re-start!!

so it wont restart when the cars hot... I've changed the following sensors after having the machine plugged into it !

could be a bad earth somewhere when the head gasket was done might not have been tightened properly then when it gets hot it dosent like it thats what my g40 did! i cleaned the earths put a new battery on and never had the problem again.

+1 for bad earth.

If I put x3 do I get a tenner too?

I'm not so sure on a bad earth, it would be starting bad cold aswell. does it crank but not start? or no cranking

If its not this, check your starter. My old man had a re-furbed pinto a while ago in his kit car. He was told the starter was new too, but it wasn't. Turned out the solenoid would stick when it got hot and wouldn't turn

slow crank?

Get it onto vag-com and check the output of the sensors and make sure they're working!

Just because it's new doesnt mean its working!

if it cranking slow check the earth the everything including battery

Coolant temp sensor wiring?

If its runnin and you unplug it what happens?

Faulty lambda?

nope it dont drop revs when i unplug it just stays the same

So I'm saying start with the basics then:

Check the injectors and ensure they're spraying fuel - does the pump prime?

Get it onto vag-com and ensure you've got an RPM reading on cranking, that the temperature sensor is actually reading okay - and not -100..

I don't think bad earths would stop it firing, it's cranking too hard.

soz put it under wronge bit lol so it dosnt misfire at all when driving it?

plug it in to vag com that will tell u I'm sure

bit diffuclt to check injectors...... they are IN the head cant really check them.
