Well it depends on what you needs and the wheels you have.. and the type of studs...

the wheels i have need these type for nuts so i need studs

you can get wheel bolts with taper..

The length you need is only something you can find out. Measure the bolt hole length of the wheel, measure the nut and work out if the bolt length includes the bit that screws into the hub and then add a bit and you have the length you need.

yeah i get what your saying but if i just knew the standerd size of the bolt for the wheels on the 6n i could work it out form there and i still think i'd rather the studs would make it so much handy to change the wheels ect and the nuts look far cooler to :-)

Can't you just take one off and measure it? We can't guess it for you..

I would of thought so allowing for 10mm into the hubs ?

but then you have to allow for the width of the nut and you don't know if the wheel hole length is the same as standard VW wheels..

the only way you can be sure is to take measurements..

You have to account for the thickness of your aftermarket alloys and the length of the wheel nuts as well. The ones in the picture look like they are about 20-30mm. It's something you can't guess...

For mine I've measured I needed 60mm for one set of wheels and 70mm for the other..

the nuts are 32 mm theres are the specs below of the nuts i had the wheels in my room but moved the to my friends Saturday so can't measure them at the min

so 7mm into the hub, say 35mm for the nuts do that's 39mm and then you need to add the width of the wheel holes..

the nuts cant have 35mm of internal thread can they? or the tool you use to secure them would be pushed out. you need to measure the threaded portion inside the bolts surely not the bolts overall

Fair enough:) i was meaning the ones on the link to the ebay ones looks like the threads only go half way.
