so whats the verdict? too high fuel pressure?? i think the return line in my other mk2 was 8mm i.d yet this one is 6mm maybe thats whats not helping?

probably not helpful so might be worth upping it to 8mm to relive some pressure.

I'm still going with the back pressure being the problem.

at the moment it would be a case of steering wheel at full lock and blast it through the steering arm hole in the wing.

I had it behind the passenger seat in 6n but was a pain really!

I was thinking on the drivers wing in the engine bay, or in the hole where the carbon canister.

failing that its going in the boot mounted to the strut brace and the pull cord mounted near the gear stick.

I was a bit limited due to cable length lol, mines quite big wouldn't really fit in bay

Yeah, the name is a little misleading tbh, it can be used on shit load of stuff and plastic is one of them. We used it to repair a petrol tap on a Honda 90 once so I imagine its petrol resistant once cured, although I double check that before using it.

Even using tape just while you try and find the running issue is a very bad idea, it only takes a second for it loose its seal and fuel to spray out on to the wrong thing and your fucked.

The HT leads can leak even a tiny bit, creating arc to surrounding metalwork you can't see in daylight.

Add petrol fumes from exposed carb venting (and exposed intake) and your engine bay acts as a 5th cylinder..

I had the bonnet open one cold night with the engine running (think it was my mk2f 16v), and was amazed to see tiny arc's coming from all my leads where they were anywhere near anything conductive, looked cool as fuck

is there some way of me lowering the fuel pressure without a reg?

Would a lift pump from a mk2f not be enough to run this on carbs? I had a 1.8 16v scirocco on 45's running off just a lift pump, although I never drove it, just had it running
