Hi all, I'm new to this forum and currently have a Saxo 1.1 SX however I have been looking at polos. I love the style of the 6n2 from interior to exterior BUT its slower than my saxo and doesn't have central locking or electric windows like my saxo. So I'm in two frames of mind whether to keep the Saxo or get a polo and install remote central locking and try and fit electric windows if possible? If anyone knows if that it is possible and if there is a guide or I can get some help then thank you in advance.

What he said^. The reason the polo is slower is because its made from steel, not tin foil and plastic cups, so is heavier.

And if your convinced on a 6n2 forget that it's slower, it will be a much nicer car but seriously, you don't need electric windows and central locking.

buy a mk2, fit a universal electric window kit and remote central locking kit (will cost you around £75 alltogether max)

cheap £60 lowering kit off here and some £80-100 bbs RA's then you will be pimping on a budget.

I'm no boy racer, I got the saxo for free so couldnt complain and needed to get on the road because of travel issues.

Surely it's not too difficult or time consuming to open two doors and undo the window with your hand? They wouldn't be a deciding factor on any car I wish too own

MK2F Gt or even a standard 1.3, million times better than a Saxo and a damn site better than a 6n2, miles faster than both and as said above, you can install C/L and E/W for less than £150!

Thats what I'd do anyway, I understand we don't all like the same things/cars.

I can actualy tell you eric, a 1.1 saxo will shit all over all 6n2s, all but the 100bhp 16v and GTI's.

Driven a saxo and owned the 6n2.

6n2 1.0 - Dangrously slow acceleration, fun handling, great german build quality, although cabins can be a little plasticy on basic models.

Saxo 1.1 - actualy pretty nippy, Unpleasent place to be and a overwelming sence that it was built by a gypo.

Mk3 ftw.

Had a 6n2, bought a MK3. Regret buying the 6n2 in the first place! I can only imagine how pants the Saxo is to drive. Buy a MK2/3 you can't go wrong.

A Saxo will out-drive an equivalent Polo, 6N included. Good chassis, body made of tinfoil, structure made of wicker, it's more fun than it sounds.

The 6N is slower than a sleep-deprived Stacey Solomon. Nicely built, though.

Dont buy a mark3 and crash it. Buy one and look after it, you wont look back and the pedals are for people with proper feet!

My Mk2 Saxo has no central locking, no power steering, no leccy windows....

and it was so much nicer to drive than the ones with power steering.

I remember my mate crashing his Saxo into a 5 Series.

Scuffed the BMW's bumper, took out the entire front end of the Citroen.

The mk3 are nice looking but the interior is to old. I want a modern interior haha

needless to say the saxo was written off and the deer lived i think.. for a few seconds

Was not his fault though , was in the speed limit of the road maybe not driving within the road conditions (dark early hours of morning / animals expected)
