So the engine ect is in , and it is running, gear linkage all spot on.

ARB blocks are a RIGHT FUCK ABOUT fitting since the groove needs to be angled slightly, took for ever nipping them up.

The cars stance looks so much better now with 60mm springs on the front, need to book in at bush tyres so they can track my car since it is now lower and has ARB blocks fitted.

I do have an issue though and that is the brakes, they are feeling rubbish and the pedal has to be all the way down to get a response, I dont know why this is, yes I had the callipers off the disks, but they were supported, I did not remove the brake hoses at all. Any one had this issue after adding 60mm front springs ? what do I need to do ? I have been pumping the break, but it has not helped one bit.

Also when fitting a 6n rocker cover and 6n gasket, also use sealant or it will leak.

Best way to fit your ARB is to have it bolted up on the TCAs and then have the car on its wheels, piece of piss. Or just put a jack/stand under each TCA.

I had it jacked up on axle stands on the TCAs , maybe I need to adjust the TCAs. It needs tracking badly, now its dropped more, added the ARB blocks, had the struts out , added a new track rod end.

Here is a current picture of it now, need to do some tidying ect , but is looking good, desperately need my custom scuttle pan to cover the battery up ect. Get another slam panel and powder coat it too. Also want a new bonnet.

I have ordered a piper cross filter, want it set up before the re-tune, as I have removed the cat, added a bigger bore manifold and G40 exhaust, GT head with valve springs and the bigger and better filter.

I have had the car lowered on 60mm springs on the front for over a week, and so far I really hate it, considering original suspension set up

I have also received new bump stops off peteG40, £8 delivered

Opened my bonnet and was shocked to see a snapped earthing cable, the one that attaches to the bonnet then near the fuse box, new quality one purchased from Euro and fitted...... weird!

I have been driving around hull with 60, 40 set up and speed bumps have been scraping my exhaust system, the ride is horrible as the roads are disgusting, I have no idea what road tax is spent on. And then to top it off last night,I was driving over a train line crossing and my exhaust centre section got caught on them and was pulled apart from my 4-2-1 manifold ! Need to go out in a min and slide them back together and clamp them.

And px500 is the base size of the piper cross filter , so smaller one to the px600, px600 is way to big.

I am also waiting on new rear suspension bump stops off peteg40 £20 posted

Getting annoyed because I can't source rear top mounts too

Like I said above , it wasn't bad when I had 40 40 set up , but front looked higherr than the back. They are all brand new , I was messaging mattloaf I think and posting on a for sale topic of his for used springs , but no reply ect. With the promo code on euro it would have been £100, but through various sellers on eBay got them cheaper. Shocks are new so all will be new , will have 14's on , could use spacers to fill the arches ect. On a new garage project I will spend big money and do it correctly with air ride,best of both worlds then. I need my polo daily for uni, gym, dojo, work what a Fuck about . Shame I can't source rear top mounts.

Price and where its from?

Apologies Maxwell lol, so when it comes to the piper cross filter. Were ever I looked, the fact is they are expensive, and they come in PX500 the smaller size and PX600 the larger size.

PX600 you can get for £66 on Ebay and PX500 for £84, which is really annoying as PX600 is much cheaper but way!!! to big, bloody stupid actually lol. As I ordered the biggest one I could find to see as |I had no idea on sizes ect.

The filters in each P size are the same size in length and width all ways, but it is the height that varies, and which gives different internal height. And you can get PX500 internal heights of 65mm 90mm 120mm, I have got 90mm and it looks the correct fit, considering the restriction of the size available against the fire wall, as the air filter needs some space around it.

The backing plate is also expensive, especially when you add both costs together, then add the correct cleaning product on top, to keep it tip top since your spending ridiculous money on AN AIR FILTER !

I found prices on Ebay from £21 to £37, so obviously got the one for £21 lol

The cheapest I found the cleaner on Ebay was £11 for two aswell, as it is a cleaner and an oil additive

New tyre has finally arrived for my spare wheel which needs picking up from the powder coaters , pics to follow .

Also correct size piper cross backing plate will be here after Monday , all ready for swapping over suspension and bogg bros tuning session, see iff I have squeezed 100 bhp out of the set up soon after at a rollers

I think my starter motor had finally had it, struggling to start, some times a grinding odd noise. So I went to Euro car parts, after discount and giving my old one in I paid £51 for a mk3 golf one, not bad at all !

Also I finally have my Px500 piper cross backing plate, after he sent me a px600 one, I had to send it back and wait for the correct one, I now need to cut out the correct hole sizes so I can fit it to my Fazer carbs.

I wouldn't go by figures on Bogg Bros rollers, it's happened more than once in the past where someone's claimed a figure then gone to another RR and got a lot less.

So my starter motor didnt work, after four visits to euro I finally have the correct one, except after discount and surcharge on the old starter, it was £100 instead of £50 lol

And a bargain, bought a brand new wet coil off ebay, £10.50

Was just driving to scunthorpe to fit POvwLOs bike carbs and bike pump, and I have had a break down! Oil pump failure i think, devastated, just been towed home, must say 25 years of age and I have never been towed by a straight bar till now, pretty good !
