Finally !! I have received my AFH manifold and engine mount plate off Pete. I dropped them off at the powder 'today, and also my 22.2 mm master cylinder and blanking cover came too.

I have spend today spraying in my engine bay in and touching it up, I'm getting it finished tomorrow.

Yes so still waiting on the powder coating....... engine mount, plate and inlet manifold, hopefully ready tomorrow. And still waiting on the rocker cover seal, but I have got some were. I have received my bonnet struts, £17.48 off Ebay. And I have drilled the bike carb holes in my backing plate and sealed in some rubber lips to attach it to my bike carbs. Works quite well. AFH some time in the near future !

Had my AFH 4-2-1 manifold vac pipe blanked off, almost there ! Wasn't that hard as the flange has less chromium in than the pipe metal.

I'm in the process of sorting out the alternator pulley, attacking it with a file and a grinder!

Could of ground it off and welded a washer on ? Then filled it . That's what I had done on mine any who

What so the flange is also removed ? That is quite a good idea, o well. I wont even be using the cool air pipe that is welded on the manifold, I might grind off the welds and take it off.

I have got my alternator pulley to fit, its just drying as I sprayed it black.

I have just swapped off my cream Hockenheim's and put my steel wheels back on as I am selling them.

I have purchased the last bits I need for my vauxhall brake upgrade, the bleed nipples, but they ended up being smaller than the originals.

I got the alternator sorted today, I used files to get a groove in the pulley to fit the wood-ruff key.

The belt is all aligned straight and all I needed to remove was the MK2F pulley and slot the AFH pulley on, that sitting on the alternator fan.

I followed the FAQ for the AFH conversion, however I may have grinded a different part off the AFH pulley of to the FAQ, but it is a bit vague. I'm not quite sure, I figured I did it the correct way as it may have been a tight fit for the pulley on the chassis leg. Either way as the belt is ribbed and tensioned up, it should not slip off.

Its all looking good, I'm just waiting on an engine hoist from my friend. Just need to figure out the exhaust when its on. I have been told I need a joining piece, so I need to get the pipe bores, the stainless is 2 inch, the G40 center section is ? I will measure up tomorrow.

You may have chopped abit to much off

You've took material off the wrong side.

You take it off the other side to make it closer to alternator body for alignment to make belt run square to the pulley on crank.

Dont you think it would be ok ?

Get a flat square edge like a decent steel rule or a bit of bar or something, hold it flush on your pulley and you'll see it's sat out further than the one on the crank, although may not be too accurate now as you've modded it: bolt your other pulley on and you'll see what I mean.

Measure the gap from the flat edge/bar to the crank pulley , then take that much off the back of the alt pulley.

I get what you mean bro , makes sense , I just thought it was other way as tight fit on the chassis leg . It's like 2mm out ! So close by eye he he. I like my mutilated pulley , looks like it's floating lol . I've just dug ny spare out, you reckon I could use this one thought ?

There we go, much better, all inline, pulley lip there.

4-2-1 heat wrapped, wetting it makes it so easy!

Picked up my friends engine hoist today, so I'm dropping it in tomorrow, lets get this shiiiiiiit done!

And I have found out the G40 center pipe is 50 mm, just under 2 inch, so iff it is inline it could be cut to slot in nicely on the 4-2-1 manifold pipe.
