you can get a trader's policy only if you are in the motor trade, that way you will be allowed to drive any car you want. However i think you have to be either a certified mechanic (garage person) or a certified dealer, on some policies for when you get over 30, you automatically become insured on any other car, like on my current insurance undr my dad's name it says that me and him are insured on the car and policy holder (him) also insured on any other car with the owner's permission. hope that helped

on every policy I've had since I was 25 i've been insured on any car. 3rd party and that car HAS to be insured by someone else and not belong to me.

I did use a loophole in direct lines policy that insured me on any car even if I owned it. allowed me to run 3 or 4 cars at the time but they stopped it and i couldn't find another place that would do something similar.

Not as such, no. If you're above a certain age and fully comp, you are normally insured to drive vehicles on loan to you, though they must be insured by someone else and not belong to you. Otherwise, everyone would have a Daewoo Matiz that they're policy is on, and an Enzo that they really drive.

also i think with the motor traders insurance it is to a specific vehicle current value.
