Will ignition and lock barrel from a 1982 Mk2 Polo fit onto a 1992 steering column?

Wrong section ginge :wink:

I'm not sure if the early and later mk2's are the same, but I had to modify the steering column on my mk2 to take the ignition from my mk2f. There is a tap that sticks out from the column which the ignition bit clamps on to with a bolt, this is in the wrong place and needed chopping off and welding back on in the right place

Its on the steering column so its the right section IMO haha.

Well i suppose i might as well find out myself when the new column arrives. Shit happens if it doesn't fit, i wont loose sleep over it.
