6n Grill Removal

Featured Replies

Such a newb question as well! I ahve performed a search but must be putting in the wrong keywords or I need stronger glasses!

I want to remove the black plastic slat grill so I can rub it down and colour code it. Does anybody have a 'how-to' so I can get it out without causing too much damage or breaking any clips? Do the headlights have to come out etc?

As always, any help is much appreciated

Theres 4 tabs along the top, gently press down on each as you pull the grill forwards and they'll release

just rag it out and buy a new one for a fiver off the classifieds on here, plenty around :p

i had to because half my clips where already broken from previous owner :/

Brilliant, thank you for your reply. So there's no need to remove the colour coded surround that goes under the headlights? That's a relief!

yeah thats bolted seperatly, the grill just slots into it at the bottom, not clips just sorta rests there on tabs :)

Nice one, ta. Shall post up results once all painted.

If you wanted to also remove the surround part it's only 2 7mm (sometime 8mm) bolts under the indicators. The indicators also have a 7mm bolt on top to release them. You do not have to remove the headlights to take this off, in fact you have to take this off to get the lights off.
