I know its a mk2 but should still give you an idea, the uneven ground doesn't do it any favours mind

Do you ave Coilovers? I had 14s on mine with Coilovers and I found the ride so much nicer than 13s

Tbh if your not on Coilovers you won't be going low unles you cut springs but then as the dampers are shit you'll bottom out everywhere..

On my temporary 14s 5 threads left on the coil (not low but you get the picture)

No pictures of the rear as they were spares they had donut tyres on.

That's 60/40, I could get the back lower if I wanted but it's going to be a work vehicle.

Cheers! :) Dunno really, the inner lip on the rear arches has had a bit of surgery with a hammer and a bit of pipe  , I'd say another inch, inch and a half wouldn't make any difference unloaded, might be a different story on a bumpy road with my tools in though. Front would be no different to any other Polo down 80mm. Never fancied doing it though, I just like the wheels brought into proportion with the arches.

80/60 wheels are 6J i believe. Rubber is 195/40 on these but now rolling 195/45 on the rear.

Had to do some arch works on the newer wheels due to the offset so i bent the lip under, no rubbing or scrubbing any more.

^^^ got any moer pics mate, Looking at 195 45's atm but going to machien the back of my wheels off a few mm to get more clearance

Ill have a look now, i have 2 sets of these rims, put the better conditioned ones on which I'm sure has a dif offset, the other problem i had was loaded the inside tyre caught my suspension. Cars stripped so usually little weight in the back but i had 9 rims and tyres in with tools and it sat flush and sexy as hell but any bump damaged my tyres, since put spacers on just in case, all i need to do is properly roll the arches and not pikey with hammer like at the mo.

Ill try get one how she sits tomorrow as i park on a wonky road so one side is major arch gap the other non ha.

Here it is fully loaded.

Sits so sexually.

Nah their /40's on the front, /45's on the rear.

They had /55's on the front which filled the arch and didnt seem to scrub too much with the arch lip bent but i didnt really test drive it, /45's fit fine for me with the lip bent in and no scrubbage even on full lock. Plus the look a little better filling the arch but i didnt have any decent ones to leave on.

rite so if i roll my arch up a little at the front i can get away with it not catching on 45s ? Just cba with paying good money for decent tyres and them catching :/ lol..

Any issues when giving it beans ?

Giving it the beans? Its a 1ltr i have no beans to give haha!

To be honest i cant see you having any issues with 45's you can see how much of an arch gap i have with the 40's and I'm down 80mm up front. Just roll you lip and remove arch liner. i was lucky, some barley worn toyos for 15 quid fitted so i know they fit fine so will be buying a decent set when i recon the wheels! =)

Wish i had an arch roller though to avoid the pikey method but looks like ill need to!
