Need a new insurer as elephant don't want to insure my mk2 anymore.

I am 21 and have been driving 8 months,

I live in a good area.

The car.

Mk2 bready with a gt conversion

Piper cam

Piper lifters

8k chip

Pipercross cone filter

Lowered suspension

Polybushed

8p gearbox,

standard exterior and interior

Think I may have to sell my cam, vernier pulley, lifters chip and filter :(

Whats the reason they have terminated your insurance? I'm all for declaring mods but i think things like cams id just 'forget' until it was my second year.

I'd recommend Brentacre but I'm sure you need a years no claim before hand, but they just give you a BHP limit, other than that any mod is fine and no extra.

Its hard to insure a modifeid car with little experience. I'm 22 and just insured my heavily modified MK2 for £460 with everything declared, but then again i have 5 years no claims and have been driving since i was 17, and most places won't touch you unless you have experience.

The thing i found was that comparison sites are pretty poor with modifed stuff and it takes a lot of ringing round, time and effort to get a decent price.

yeh I'm swapping for my mates standard gt engine with some ats mantas my way :)

I've tried loads but as soon as they hear non standard engine they flip out!!!

a gt isnt exactly rocket ship fast is it haha

cant even get a quote :-(
