6n 16v rear bumper removal

Featured Replies

Hi all.

How do I get the rear bumper off. I have took out all the screws from the boot shut and the arches and have pulled it off slightly but it's held in somewhere under the enforcer. I've tried looking under the bumper but can't see where it's held in and it's not bolted from inside. I have a fealing that it just pulls off but I want to make sure before I destroy a perfectly good bumper.

Thanks

4 screws across the top like you said.

Ones in arch liner.

Then you could do with a person either side, pull the ends out a bit so it unhooks off the bracket on the corners and you've gotta pull it, there's 4 clips in the middle which is clips onto and you have to virtually rag it off.

I did not like doing this, I went to get some bits off a car that was being broken and the lad was unsure how to get it off, so I offered a hand and his was tight as fuck - but did come without breaking it or cracking paint

There's one in the middle under the bumper, you must've found that unless you can't get down on your knees.

Then the arches and under the tailgate, yeah. Then there are a couple inside the boot itself, can't remember if they're under the trim but they're not far above floor level near the chassis legs.

So it's just clipped in the middle and I just gave to pull it?

Miles are you saying there are bolts holding it in from inside the boot?

Thanks guys for the help
