Cheers mate :) haven't been on a solo drive yet! still waiting on insurance which should be sorted in about 30 mins,.. and i know nige the test isnt really on driving i think to be honest its all scripted i think... like you have to do certain things in order ect... but when you actaully drive solo its a hell of a lot different than some of the stuff i got taught... and ill be a good boy :)

Yes, the test is a stupid check of if you can drive on that moment to their standard, now you have the licence you can really learn to drive in the real world, I know it's a bit daunting going solo for the first time but just be cautious and stay safe!! and above all Enjoy the freedom :-)

Cheers guys, and the joy was taken straight out after I can't get insured :/ ha co op tracker for 2100 with a £800 deposit but suddenly a day passing your test they deciede to hick price up! To £1000 deposit and 250 a month which before it was only £160 a month!! So haven't even been out in it yet and can't find insurance due having a claim against me :( tried many places, all the tips ect.. Just can't get it under £4k!! So that's fucked off my day and took all the excitement of passing the test! So now I'm depressed that I can't drive! Worst feeling ever when you got a licence but can't pass due to company's taking piss :/ of anyone know of any places ect please tell me :( anyway cheers for congrats everyone

have you tried iKube? they wont insure modded cars and there is a curfew (11pm-5am) but it was 3.5k cheaper than the cheapest quote i could get elsewhere, i thought it was worth it for the first year :)

But anyway back to insurance, have you tried aviva? they insured me with my mods for £2k when everyone else wanted about 4-5 :)

dont bother with comparison sites, they just pluck numbers out their mums arse, go direct every time and blag the fuck out of it :)

You could just start your own insurance company (registered as a limited company of course) with companies house which costs fuck all. Then if anyone claims against you just go into "administration" and bankrupt the company. And because its a .ltd business, they cant come after you personally for the money

just bought it now... starts tomoz at 12.... no tracker :) ONLY £1400 with a claim of 500 and with 50,000 miles

oh and no curfews ect.... just normal fully comp insurance

Nice one man. When I passed I didn't drive for over a year! Then work told me I had to go on a course in leeds(3 hour drive from Birmingham) so they hired me a '10 plate Astra SRi 1.4T. So my first solo journey was in a car that wasn't mine that was quick as fuck. Twas scary as hell haha. Good luck with everything dude! :)
