water catching in rear door sill

Featured Replies

My polo 9n3 seems to have a weird thing going on with the rear passenger side door.

when it rains the water catches in the sill of the door so when i open the door a load of water falls out.

i cant figure out how its happening or why it's really weird.

the water doesnt go into the car which i guess is a plus but i think if i was to leave it a couple weeks and it rained alot i'd probably get a problem with a leak into the car.

anyone got any ideas or has this happened to you?

Is it getting trapped at the roof rail or at the seal which runs around the door opening?

yeh that's exactly what mine does :(

Completely forgot to respond to this :)

Is the top of the door fitting tightly against the body? It's very likely that it's a few mm away.

Has the car ever been in an accident? As this could easily knock it out of alignment

were getting alot of this kind of thing coming to us at the minute, i guess the crap weather has caused problems to show up on some cars, i wouldnt want to guess but we have time near the end of the week to take a look, were not too far from you,
