I have about 3000 - 3500 to spend :)

i recommend the 6n2 gti.

look good, easy to mod, enough speed if you want to use it.

With a 6n2 should have about 1.4-2k change for the mods!

1.6 gti 6n2 can fetch anything from £1000 up to £2000 depending on condition, interior etc

but you will have change for mods, insurance what ever you need.

they do look nice, but if you were not overly bothered about speed i have the 1.4 16v 6n2 its nippy enough and looks the same i picked mine up for £1000 and i pay £1000 a year insurance

Where do impost info have bits for sale?:)

Before you buy, get a rough idea of the premium with as many insurance companies you can(or go face to face with a broker[this is what I did]) with the reg# of the car you're looking at. This'll save you getting fucked by them after you've bought the car.
