I'm new on here and this is my first vw so obviously i dont really know alot about dos and donts for polo's

I've got a 1.4CL 8v.

I really love it. i havet done alot to it just yet as only had it about 2/3months maybe

Ok lets start from the beginning the day i brought it.



Right ok so i brought it on a saturday and by the sunday afternoon i had put on some vmax coils. These were always th most important thing for me to do as soon as possible.



As you can see we cambered the front aswell purely because it was easy.



Did a little shoot with my mate(mk3 gti 8v) and my little brother (lupo)
heres there three cars...

ok so after this it slowed for a while as money had become short.

However when i ventured up to early edition i picked up a set of ats classics and put them on.
Oh at this point i had pressed plates, they lasted to edition and then got pulle don the journey home thanks plod


These lasted about a week decide i didnt like the fitment and they rubbbed like a mad man at the rear as soon as i put my bmx in the boot (not a heavy object)

so they came off again and i went to a few local shows and got a couple of pictures because I'm sad like that




then i went out and got some e30 14x6.5j i believe, off of another member on here.
oh and debadged the rear much cleaner IMO
also a de wiper using a bmx barend (no close ups of that though)

looks abit arse in rake this picture, i want to clear up i had 3 bikes in the boot 2 not as light as mine


right ok so now youve seen how it sits at the moment please comment on you opinions any compliments or critisisms welcome,

my plans for the moment are
Black badges (another coat and fitting)
stubby mk5 passenger mirror
helpers out
repaint wheels (cant decide on colour and whther or not to do whole wheel or just the centre without the lip)
do myself a black headlining and pillars.
space the rears
and roll the arches.

exactly the same as mine when you first got it!!

i like the black wheels I've always wondered how black would go with the colour and it definitely works :) and i think if you're going to black the badges keep the wheels black too

Yeah i am going to keep the wheels black i was a little scepticle about it at first but the black a purple colour code has kinda grown on me :-) they could just to with a little touch up.

ok so a small update :)

i know it needs a clean however having a fractured coollar bone kind of prevents this :(

black badges are finished and on :)

oh you can see my wiper delete in this one aswell

seems as though a lot of vw owners are into bmx or something similar (i ride 24" street). the car is spot on though, think some 16v bumpers would look spot on though

i have also noticed that!! they seem to go hand iin hand

thanks mate yeah i am thinking about 16v bumpers, need o find some at a decent price and close enough to me,

i think i want a 6n2 gti splitter aswell now they look a little more aggressive

Little update trying to keep my thread alive, so anyway spent a long while cleanin my car sunday morning, and then decidded to buy some meguiars metal polysh (that is how its spelt)

and i went at the lips on my bbs rz (i got told sat night that this is what bbs they are and it looks alot better :-D

and then went for a little drive and boom

RAC to the rescue

at leats it was nice and clean for him turns out my stat housing broke so got a new one today and going to give it a go to fit tonight ready for my local dub club 2 weekly meet.

So quick update!!

Wheels are hopefully going to wheelworx this weekend, get them painted although I'm still undecided on the colours i want.

also hopefully i am going to get round to taking my helpers out my coils

want it a tad lower ready for bug jam...anyone going???

Hello all, been a while since I've posted on here, soo anyway i went to bugjam last weekend, was a top weekend alot of cool stuff there and a good excuse to get pissed was very messy though made my car dirty.

so anyway after i got back i made a few changes, firstly was the exhaust i wanted something different so it may not be to everybodies taste but i like it.

and also got my mk5 stubby mirror back from paint the other day, and installed it, i still need to do the wiring but i will get around to that soon.

soo here that is.

thats all for now, theres more on the way soon :)

In my opinion one thing I would do is get rid of the bit youve put on to block where the rear wiper was and get a proper blank, there's a lad on here who get groups buys of them for £21 delivered and there glass... Heres what it looked like on mine, much better IMO

got a new update now.

Genuine vw rack, i need the front fairing and a part for my bike!

So as it was nice this morning and i had nothing to do, i gave the car a clean and polish, and went and took some photos, better shots with the roof rack on. any suggestions of what to do next would be welcome

Hello all,

Not really an update but my roof had faded rather badly, so i got some g3 paint restorer and went at my roof like a mad man,

it came out so clean looks brand new so for anyone with same issue, try it :)

had feck all to do saturday morning soo set about doing my wiring for the 6n2 mirror.

we didnt really use a guide lol we just played about for a short while and it all started working :)

Too come shortly,

Helpers out approx another 10mm front and back.

6n2 rear lights

clear front indicators (then fly eyes the whole lot) not sure on this one yet...?

space the rear wheels,

roll the arches
