So time for another new car, build thread for this one should be appropriate as its tidy and a keeper (i think)!

quick car history in pics and in order to explain the title

1.9 SDI

1.3 Carb

1.8 16v 318 Compact

also had a mk1 caddy, a yellow CC mk3 Golf GTI, a strom grey 1.4 6n and a blue 1.6 GLX all of which are now dead

which brings us to up to date

Take one quite clean standard mk4 flash red 1.0, clean it extensively, fit valver wheels and rear lights, a chopped down A4 aerial, rear wiper blank, tailgate debadge, coilovers and a 5 door rear pass handle and you end up with this:

I know the pics are rubbish but nm

Anyway, i picked up some BBS RD218 15x6.5, new caps, new 165 45 tires, new white powder-coat and trial fit:

then remove because its all wrong, the arches need work, notch is required and things need cutting off from underneath. style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/smile.gif

things on order are:

nut conversion with red anodized nuts

spacers

polybushes wishbones

piping for a notch

valver bumpers are being smoothed and painted

also have plans for the interior.....

thats it for now style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/thumbsup.gif

so, nut conversion came yesterday along with the centre caps, i had a fiddle with the arches and spacers etc, i think it needs another 5mm out on the front, may order some 15mm spacers, rear isn't

Well as you can see by the title this is the new polo. It's a 1.6 cl, none A/C, none sunroof, 86k miles, one owner from new minter... The colour, Atlantic blue pearl, is lovely and quite rare on 6n

Just goes to show if done right simple works sooo well :-) Get the stance right and the rest will follow

Get the pic you sent me up

na I've got it sitting better now and a touch lower, soon though.......

not much to update, just keeping it clean, which with white wheels is hard to do :)

however tow-eye has been removed, bumpers are on their way to being done, and an airfreshner installed... :retard:

and I'm also after some 15mm hubcentrics, some height adjust seat bases and a 6n2 gti splitter if you can help me out!

Cheers mods for moving this :thumb:

N yeah I'm not to sure myself yet but I have both options we shall see.....

Man that things sat sweet! What specs out back? 8-)

  • Author

Cheers dude not totally happy with it yet, atm its at 165 45s on a 6.5j et 38 with a 25mm spacer

However its suffering from the usual shoddy polo rear beam welding, so drivers side pokes more by around 3mm, and the front isn't low enough.....

New reg plates coming to get rid of the crappy blue GB bit

15mm spacers on, doesn't make much difference, 20mm maybe but these will do for now

front and side repeaters tinted to 16v darkness...??
