Anyone know a custom exhaust place thats cheap and build it on the car, shropshire area....??

Also I'm after a mid mileage 1.6 AEE 8V, complete preferably, with a late style gearbox, auxilleries aren't mega important

aaaand wheels MAY be for sale......

x2.jpg

how much are you looking for the wheels?

  • Author

No idea, never seen them before (that makes them rare, therefore loads) lol

new caps, valves, tires, paint so make me an offer, I'm after something wider and/or lighter or $ if i do let them go dude.........

  • Author

ok, had my exhaust fettled friday, just a cat and middle box delete and the stainless pipe tucked right up in the tunnel, standard back box sounds poop but at least it doesnt hit the floor anymore

Also while it was on the ramp I took the opportunity to have a proper look at my subframe and it may need plating...:

decided to keep the wheels aswell as I've not seen another set in this country yet and they're to nice

Well as you can see by the title this is the new polo.

It's a 1.6 cl, none A/C, none sunroof, 86k miles, one owner from new minter...

The colour, Atlantic blue pearl, is lovely and quite rare on 6ns. It's git an original Volkswagen alarm and al the oe stickers which will be staying.

So far all I've had to do is fit my mk3 golf recaros (which look perfect in a 6n), mono team 300, a sony h/u and a glovebox in place of the airbag.

Suspension wise I've done it properly this time, no more eBay specials, 6n2 AP coils with matched spring rates, bumps cut down, helpers out. They do ride lovely :-)

Few pics and more updates soon:

Rear debadged and dewipered, usual 6n smoothness is getting there: DSC_0060.jpg

Went to clean under the bonnet but it's just to clean already....: DSC_0056.jpg

Engine cover nut covers on order. Wheel refurb is under way. ARB has been removed resulting in more drop but now a notch is needed, get that done asap.

New Polo looks really tidy mate.

Those mk3 recaros look tasty, do you know if they're a straight fit? might have to look for a set myself if so!

White wheels are a win too!

  • Author

Cheers dude

Yep fronts are a straight fit, rears need the metal backs swapping over.

Go back a few pages, I know white wheels work ;)
