as in the title really- are there any bulbs which fit the D2S slot which i can bang in for the mot- and daily driving until my level adjusters make my xenons legal again?

any experience in doing it or good suggestions please.

Your going to struggle with that tbh. Probably less work in fixing what's wrong with them than it is trying to convert them to something else.

unfortunately i have golf rallye headlights which have been converted to audi TT xenon projectors- cant go back:-( looking at the hole i think that my foglight bulbs will sit in the hole- just got the affix them now.

those 3000k bulbs- they more normal coloured? less obviously xenons?

No 3000k bulbs are yellow. You will probably fail using them as headlight bulbs. They're normally used in heavy rain or fog.

If you are going to stick normal halogens in this is not going to solve anything, if they're not designed to fit in the lamp they're going to give awful beam patterns.

The hids you have ATM fit correctly and work correctly? It's just the fact your self levelling is not working?

why would yellow bulbs fail? your allowed white or yellow.

the lights already came with projectors- the beam pattern is fine if i was to put those rallye ones back in with normal bulbs- i just dont have the rallye bulb holder on the end!

Get me some pictures up.

Auto Headlamp adjusters are only assumed to be working when tested as there is no way of specifically testing them.

Yellow are fine for MOT'S

Yeah I double checked the Yellow MOT, we had a customer come once stating they had failed the MOT due to having yellow bulbs. I had always just thought they was meant for Fog lights. My bad!

I had a tester query it that one but a quick look at the testers manual and all was fine.

I have been asked to swap my sidelight bulbs as the LED'S looked too blue.

I've got them in both mains and fogs. Far better for night driving and Shit conditions

with the yelllow bulbs , hids depends on the mot tester at the time but they are legal .. :) and should pass

Tey won't test if the levellers are working or not, this is assumed.

As long as they are even roughly aligned with each other this is all that they will look at.

As for fitting a halogen bulb into a d2s holder, you could probably force a h7 in there but this will not help your case as it will just not be right.

3000k lights are perfectly fine it's only really 10,000k+ that might be a problem as they are too blue, but even then they probably wouldn't say anything as long as they work.

Why would the police have anything to say about it? As long as they comply with the not regs then they can't say anything, after all they are police officers not vOSA officials.

ermmmm - because they dont comply with the MOT regs, so yes they will have something to say about it

In what way do they not comply? As long as they work and are fitted correctly and aligned then that's all the not required? They do not test for functionality of the levelling system, so neither will the police.

Okay, so let's say you have lost the d2s bulbs. Can't find them anywhere. I suppose that in this situation some h7 bulbs can work as long as they are used in conjunction with some glue.
