What's wrong with the K03 dude? Would love to have a go in this!

I think they are a really UGLY looking turbo haha!!

but nothing at all wrong with them. its the best option for budget build. They are cheap turbos to buy with manifolds, downpipes and oil lines off the shelf. The only down side is needing a turbo cam.

The KO3 is a relatively small turbo and with the larger capacity engines run out of puff to 'early'. For a standard 1.3 the KO3 is going to be fine Maxwell

I got quite abit done this weekend. Old engine out and stripped on Friday night. Saturday night I fitted Polybushed wishbones, polybushed rack bushes , GTi ARB, Audi 80 calipers and braided lines.

Which left me to get the new engine in on sunday evening.

I can take no credit for the copper turbo it was Aruns idea. It had to be done tbh i just needed abit of pier pressure!

I popped up to see Arun tonight and collected the inlet he had welded up for me and the accuspark dizzy. Legend!!

I don't think it will make tatton but we will see

Winston do you think the carb would actually cope ok with a charger rather than turbo? With the right jets obviously

I didn't strictly suggest it. After seeing the engine I simply asked Winston if he had done it as I honestly thought it would be an obvious thing to include in the colour scheme And then he was like "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh"

I can't get a spark out of the coil. I've been messing with it every night this week. Its not looking good for this Mk1, I can't be without a car any longer!! let the vultures collect over this thread haha

I've been to see saf tonight to drop off a gearbox mount. he offered parts and to come help like a gent but I've just lost the love.

I'm running an accuspark dizzy but I think I've blown it up messing with the coil wiring. I've not been feeling the golf since VWNW. then it had the starting problems. I need to focus on my scirocco and selling all the parts will give it a much needed cash injection.

Its a shame but I never should have bought the Golf!

Everyone gets like this when their projects come to a standstill I've been in the same position numerous times. Lets give it one last go, test out a few more parts to see what the problem is, and if it turns out the accuspark has shat itself then I will sort you out like I said <3
