CP Username Plaque

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We had Oki come in to work today (we're an IT reseller) and they were showing us some print samples from one of their printers which had printed a small number plate type item. They let you have one printed in whatever design you wanted, so (how sad am I) the first thing that came into my head was a club polo username plaque.

Here's the finished article, proudly displayed in my Seat Ibiza!

Note: this is a one-off unique item and no others will be offered for any sale.

I think it looks pretty cool, what do you think?

Erm, not sure if it's tacky or not. Bit more time, think you'd have managed better, but off the cuff i like it. With your login name though, well i've never heard of a Duey but for you, so a full size faintly ghosted clubpolo with a full size heavy fronted Duey springs to mind?

Given that i have a 5-digit licence plate and a clubpolo sticker, my site name should really be my plate i suppose. That is, if i want to be traceable.

To say it was knocked up in about 2 minutes, I don't think it looks too bad.

I think your idea of the CP logo with username over the top sounds pretty cool too.

Probably helps at shows too so you can relate username to car etc.

Has anyone asked you why you have a polo sticker on an Ibiza yet

It's not a sticker, it's a plastic reflective plaque, and it was only put in a 6pm today!

For some reason I thought this was going to be a grave stone plaque

I told you i was ill!

Good old spike

Shouldn't it say club seat?

One thing I wouldn't have on my car is my username - mount of stuff you guys tell in your build threads about what's in your car and other such things, it wouldn't take long for someone to come along and steal from you.

Nice idea though.

Hence why I don't have a build thread :-)

Along with the fact it's not a polo, and isn't really modified.

I like it :-)

Good for at shows... wouldnt want it in all the time tho!

You'd have people agrily chasing you toby

it probably should if I was a member there, but as I've been a member here for about 3 years (and not had a polo for 2), and most people are very helpful, I've never really strayed away. The discounts are a great bonus too. saves me £55 a year just in breakdown cover with RAC :-) (£110, down to £55.50 just for being a club member!)
