id say its possible but not going to be easy. depends how low etc tbh

theyl stick out on the front too much.

Anything is possible but I can't imagine the end result being very good

What do you mean by the result not looking good? Do you recon the wheels are too big

yeah defo to big, sell them to me

15x8 with 165/50 tyres for a start will look utterly daft, 8j with a sensible offset will go under polo rear arches after being rolled a lot. if it were me and i was desperate to fit a naff set of rota wheels (i'm not a fan of cheap split rim copies) to my car, i'd at least do it properly, chop the std arches off, weld wider ones in, then run decent width tyres to make the most of the wider wheels. I really don't see the point in fitting 8j wide wheels then wrapping them in 165 wide tyres.

Other option would be to get them in 7j with a more sensible offset and not spend thousands making the bodywork fit the car

i had to do alot of arch work to get the same wheels to fit on my bready and this is welding new mk2 golf wider arches on my car

Hmm just seen them on stinkyPete's polo, by the looks of things it won't sit low enough :/ they may be up for sale or swaps for some wide 13" or 14"

why not go for the full on "jdm look" if your getting rotas with these: jdm honda drift arches ftw yo

I do like the sound of a jdm inspired mk3, not getting the car till Saturday, I have the rota's on my 6n ATM and I have a bit of poke, with the poke you get on the front of a mk3 it will need a lot of work :0 I think g40jon was a bit harsh "cheap split rim copies" they cost me near on 700 to buy!

Just because they cost a lot, doesn't mean they are any good. £700 would probably get you a nice set of second hand ssr superstars (the wheel the rota zero is based upon). £700 is pretty cheap for as set of wheels (i guess they included tyres at that price, as I've seen the for sale for under £130 per rim) The real deal ssr wheels come in at $620 Per wheel!

why not go for the full on "jdm look" if your getting rotas with these:

certainly would be "JDM look", rota wheels are made in the phillippines, pmsl

Not being funny but I was well still am happy with the wheels and £700 is allot to pay for wheels and tyres if you were to spend £600 per wheel I think you have more money then sence!

i got wheels with worse offsets on my car - did involve some serious time put into make them fit. custom wheels adapters and a shortened axle

I wouldnt bother, just buy some wheels that fit or trade them for some that fit. 15's make a MK3 tram line really bad anyway.

if you've already got the wheels just try them on and post a few pics up, would be interesting to have a look for the rest of us :)

then if they poke i say jdm arches and splitter like jordanvw says

Given everyone is telling you not to do it I'd do exactly the oposite like kiz has in the past!

Çut the arches off the front and rived on some fibreglass arches higher up. On the rear do as the jdm boys do and tub the arches with large extensions.

Done :-)

you just love kiz lol

What? that is exactly what he did? someone told him his wheels would never fit so he prooved them wrong? shut up eric.

Yes they will fit.

But you'll need to do work to make it look any good

Betcha can't get 'em to fit..

I don't see why the would be any worse than any other size? providing you are using the right size tyres to keep the rolling radius the same and you stick to a similar width tyre, I don't see any reason for them to tramline worse than any other size. It is the tyre width that has the biggest effect on a wheel tramlining, although wheel offsets can come into play.

i'd put any money that my 14s with 195/45s will tramline way more than a set of 15s running 165/50 tyres

165/50 on an 8j is shit lol, just get wheels that fit
