Have a look at the "set-up" thread in the engines section, that will give you an idea where to start.

There's a lot of variables between carbs and years which people forget man.

So finally pulled my finger out and did the brake conversion with Jamie, didn't take long at all, bled them correctly etc. went for a test drive and what dya know, pedal straight to the floor and minimal

braking.. bled the whole system twice to be sure and theres definately no air in the system, been talking to Nick (harrisracing on here) and the culprit seems to be the goodridge hoses.. so need some

'adjusting' and should be alright hopfully. Finally after nearly a year done the heater mod with a few mates, bit of a bodge but does the job well enough! Carbs have been split cleaned and rebuilt so just

need some jets and inlet mani and should be ready to go! Time to find some motivatoin! :(

Only a small update but everyone loves pictures! Got a slimline sub for christmas, so spent the day wiring that up and it looks and sounds pretty sweet!

Back to the brake issues, changed the hoses back to standard ones from goodridge today, pedal felt much firmer initially but on the road, still shit. A firm touch of the pedal is initially good, but for example

slowing down for lights or to turn into a side road, the pedal will slowly sink to the floor.. So, either its the VW11s i bought off pettsy? on here, could just need rebuilding, or the master cylinder, which looks pretty

shot to me. Will definately be getting a new master cyclinder come engine time, and ill rebuild the brakes as soon as.

Tried out the polishing mop today on a few panels and the results were pretty good! only did roof bonet and the boot, was my first attempt and didnt really use the correct pads or compound but...

talk about colour fade!

On another note, got a full genesis interior a while back, but the driver seat was fooooked when i got it, so went to the scrappy and ripped the interior out of the mk3 breddy genesis with Jamie and used the

driver seat out of that, so now a matching set!

Not really much progress here with the weather as harsh as it is at the minute! The GT lump WILL be in and running for rr day in feb! inlet manifold is getting made up on monday, just main jets to buy.

So ripped the HZ out yesterday, did a bit of cleaning in the bay, fuel pump etc swapped ancillaries over.. Few complications but got over it in the end.. Got the 1.3 in, turned over and ran sweet ish.. Then water started pissing out of the block along with the oil.. Bit of a disappointment but never mind

Just took the 1.3 out and gonna gt the shit out of the 1 liter in the morning

Messy update but will probably tidy it up during the week

Buying shit now.

Need to build up 1.0, refit to car, do exhaust tweaks, couple of changes with coolant hoses, but of tuning.

Pretty shit inlet manifold with fuck loads of air leaks

Ancient CBR600-F carbs off a motorbike. Jetted to keihin 135

4 branch mani with standard exhaust

Ninja 600cc fuel pump which doesnt work too well at the minute. probably need to sort air leaks out first.

First test drive summary..

Idles fine when it wants to, real quiet at times and stable, or it'll cut out and refuse to start (fuel pump issue)

Sluggier than a slug below 4/5K but pulls pretty hard after that especially for a 1 liter. Potential for sure!

Oh my god since like 8pm Sunday night til now iv just been laughing, ace few days, even if we've achieved basically a poorly tuned 1.0 lmao, but we'll sort it, taking an engine out steaming at like 3am cause it was fucked then spending today making a mega sick tuned short stroke 1.0 with a sick pulley conversion and one off custom OEM coolant hose blanks, including OEM fuel pipe clips and a MAD exhaust joiner.

Anyway friday session maybe when inlet mani is fixed?
