Mk1 Golf 20vt

Featured Replies

so here she is, my mk1 20vt. I've had her for about a year now, bought it of a good mate of mine who did the conversion and sold it not long after finishing it. its a 1.3 golf driver shell and started life in mars red. Shes got the AGU 20vt engine with the hydraulic clutch which is currently pushing 318 BHP and amazingly runs like a monster, puts e46 M3's and audi RS4's to shame!

I've still got plans for her and hoping to sort them out within the next couple of weeks;

- Rear disk conversion and uprate the front disks

- Forged conrods (ordered so should be here with the next couple of weeks)

- polycarbonate windows

- front anti roll bars need fitting

- g60 steels

- Full stainless exhaust straight from the turbo manifold

- could do with a customer screamer pipe, straight from the flange coming out of the bonnet or the wing :ninja:

- 2 piston dump valve

- Set the Gizmo MS IBC boost controller AGAIN!

- Golf GTI fuel tank

- New radiator

- Polish and port the head

- Lightened flywheel

- hopefully a full respray in the winter when shes of the road

looking to get around 450+ BHP out of her but il see how things go hey!

Here she is:

They bay looks well messy is the picture (was taken a while back). the wiring's now been neatened up, its had a new rad,air filter, new hoses and a good old scrub!

Hopefully the bullet steels will be coming off soon for a set of G60 steels or compomotives....

Your a lucky man with this and the Polo I need a mk1 golf in my life and I'd even settle for the 1.3 lol

Any engine bay shots dude

Cracking mk1

WUB <3

I'd imagine this will murder a hell of a lot faster cars than M3s! My mate has just finished fitting a BAM into his mk1 running 290bhp, and there can't be much faster than that out and about. So this must be ridiculous 8-)

It's whether the cage will serve its purpose safely which Ben is questioning!

But unless you're planning on rolling the car then its not too big a deal 8-) What management is this running fella?

its currently running standard management mate, i am looking into buying a standalone management but the figures are pretty steep :-( . pal of mine just fitted standalone to his 20vt and apparently runs awesome with the launch control :unibrow:
