A Slightly Different Thank You

Featured Replies

There are several threads saying thank you.

However, this weekend was my first time at a VW or Polo meet/show and I had a great time.

I arrived knowing nobody and came alone - which could have been in risk of a very unhappy weekend.

From the minute I drove up to Puddleduck I was made to feel welcome. Mark and Sam were the first people I met and they were brilliant - Sam helped me put up my tent (borrowed from my neighbour unseen), and they introduced me to several other folks and there were many great people throughout the weekend.

I dont want to reel off names but youre a damn good crowd.

I've been to other car clubs and shows (only stayed over once though) and its not often like this. Often there are clique's and politics.

I've returned full of enthusiasm to get my Polo done - which i sort of needed as its been a lot of work for a car I've never driven more than 5 yards.

So thanks to all involved, hope to see you at another show.

(I've not put my Photo's up as they seem to be similar to everyone else's).

Cheers

JC

PS I've since bought my own tent.

Good to meet you JC, glad you've got the enthusiasm to crack on with the polo :-D

As for tents, there's usually people around to help, my tent was brand new for this show and took three people to put up on Thursday

Twas good to meet you mate - see you at another one I guess! :)

Dunno if i met you or not, i don't know what many people look like and i was only there for a couple of hours on sunday due to a few rounds with the mrs  so i didn't get to speak to many.

But that's typical of the poloshows, i was on my own my first time and since, always made to feel at home - no keyboards, see ;)

nice to meet you man.

Did i meet you? Fucked if i can remember
