Ended up picking my new wheels up today instead of saturday. But I'm comming to the conclusion that these coilovers have to come off its so anoying bouncing about because of the slightest bump in the road. Wish i bought new ones instead now what a waste of money and its not even sitting that low think all the shocks my be fuggered :( !!!!

  • Author

Anyone know what size tyre i should go for ? Its 15" x 6.5j 2 of them already have 195 50 on them

  • Author

HELP!!!!!******

Took the coilovers off the rear only to find out one of the shocks is leaking fluid badly can someone point me in the right direction? Can i get it repaired or do i need new coilies?

New coil overs I really dont see the point in buying used ones there is no point of fixing etc dont think that anyone even does that. its only a matter of time when other ones will start leaking too.

Thanks people thinking of just geting lowering springs rather that new coilovers now though. Around where i live there are massive speedbumps and ill be sat on 195/50/15 wen i get my new wheels refurbed this weekend so cant go that low anyway. What you recon people springs or coilovers?

I'd persevere with coil-overs, seems like you have just had a bad experience with them. The best thing about them over getting lowering springs, if you put the springs on and aren't happy, there's nothing you can do about it. If you put the coilies on and aren't happy......wind them down/up (down i hope 8-) )

Have you already bought your tyres? If not i would suggest something with either a lower profile or maybe even stretch. Would maximise your chances of getting it sitting how you want. :-D

Will prob buy new coilovers soon bt for now the front is low and the back is on standard springs lol

I want stretched tyres but i dnt no what size or where to get them from?

If you wanted stretched tyres just have a look at this site and see what different sizes look like on your size wheel.... http://www.tyrestretch.com/

so i think i remember you saying your rims where 6.5? and 15"? then click on one with those dimensions eg. 6.5-165-45-15

Then id probably go on ebay for some tyres! unless you know some people at a garage and can do yourself a deal with them :-D

well had a near death experience, went to the scrappy to try fix my mates crashed 206 ended up getting squirted in the face with air con gas. now being a trainee mechanic i know this is poisonous but i didn't get any side effects straight away, ended up being rushed to hospital the next morning for collapsing after daggering pains from my chest, found out there was a problem wit my lungs causing me to struggle to breathe bad times but I'm all good now so time to resume work on the polo.

stand rear struts back on and got a petrol cap for free (which is only fair considering one of your cars nearly killed me)

started to sand the wheels down myself rele not having fun its only took the first coat off so I've been referred to the paint stripper department, all this just to get a polished lip. was going to rattle can them but when all 4 is prepped for painting ill just take them back to the bodyshop hopefully wont be long till there on :)
