London Riots Personal Experience

Featured Replies

TBH I'm still confused at what actually started the london riots :lol::lol:

The police shot somebody ;)

Not just somebody. Police shot a gang member who pulled a gun on police when they tried to arrest him. Live by the gun, die by the gun.

Yes i have no doubt that he was probably a bit of a nice person , but that doesnt make the MET police jury and executioner .

if there was a danger the chap could have harmed a civilian or a Met officer then they have more of a reason to incapacitate him is an arrest wasn't viable (if he had a firearm) lets be honest though, people just wanted to fuck shit up because they have no jobs or prospects and are usually Jeremy Kyle show fodder.

my polo saved me in the riots, i was in Wolvo town and it all went madness, never had anyone seen a 1.3spi move like mine did that day!

Pathetic attempt at riots in Wolverhampton tbh

Some idiots waving at cameras with TV's they had robbed. Most of them got caught as they were all over the internet/tv not covering their faces aha. Morons!

Well it does if he pointed a gun at them

Armed police are trained so that if some one aims a gun at them or a member of the public they have to remove the threat and if need be they are given the right to use deadly force. If your stupid enough to point a gun at an armed police officer then tbh they are probably doing you a favour by putting you out of your misery. It's just another form of Darwin's law imo

If he was not intelligent enough to pay attention to a heavily armed copper shouting "this is the police, drop the gun or we will shoot" then I'm surprised he was intelligent enough to hold the gun in the first place without shooting himself in the face or some thing

Or more specifically, live by the handgun, die by the MP5

Thanks lads , my ex was a Met officer and funnily enough we used to live in Tottenham , my point was that Ceri asked what started the London riots .....

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2011/nov2011/dugg-n21.shtml

I was in Ireland when it first started so missed the news story.

thanks burt.

Please note i am in no way condoning what happened , and lets be honest Mr Duggan was in the possesion of a firearm at the time , wether he shot at police or not is a bit of a mute point .

Ceri , it was the Police's miss handling of the Initial shooting that sparked the rioting in Tottenham .

Idiots.

It's mainly just a hype that people think they can get away with because others are. Trying to justify it with shit reasons to make it ok, then most the time if someone throws the race card in they get treated totally different because this country is just a massive pushover

All I read was repeated reports that he had shot at the police, so yeah it does seem the police mis handled the situation, but that doesn't excuse any of the shit that happened afterwards. These lefty types trying to say it was was due to poverty and lack of social opportunities is absolute tosh, as Harris says it was idiots seeing idiots getting away with shit and wanting a piece of it. Some wanted to kick off with the police, others just wanted a widescreen tv, what ever their motivation was, it was the fact it looked like they could get away with it that spurned them into action

Most of these people were not kids, and they knew right from wrong, making lame excuses for their actions isn't going to solve the problems that sparked this.

There is a generation of people in this country who believe the world owes them something, they think they can do what they like and evade any serious punishment (which all too often is the case) and they have no respect or fear of authority. People seem quick to point out that they are living in high poverty, low unemployment areas but who's fault is that? Who is going to start a buisness in a shithole with the constant fear of it being robbed? And who is going to employ someone who dresses like a idiot and talks gibberish?

It's the societies that these people have built up around themselves that are to blame for the way they are, not society in general. When you try and lock out all forms of authority from your society, how can you then blame the authority figures for not addressing your problems?

I agree with guy.

again I agree with guy (this is becoming frighteningly regular) there is a generation of disrespectful degenerate retards who think that they can do as they please and not get a smack across the fucking chops. then all the older generation say they have no morals but they forget who raised them. Fuck them I hope they all rot the scumbags, don't get me started on those foul mouthed "invincible" fecking travellers.

If your DAFT enough to point any kind of a gun at armed cops then you deserve to get shot...simples

Shouldn't have a gun anyway tbh, the less people like that the better...just a drain on society
