Thanks for the feedback lads!

We have started the building up again. This takes quite a lot of time, mainly to find all the right bolts and nuts for the right places.

But we will get there! Also with thanks to uncle ETKA ;)

Got some work done yesterday. Sorted out the wiring, checked for damage and newly taped. One of the most shitty jobs, but it had to be done ;).

Next steps will be fitting and welding the VWM Cupframe, then of to powdercoating and finishing the engine. It only needs the complete cooling system and intercooler attached and slowly working to the front.

Cake vd Week project 2012! :p Haha, zonder dollen, word een toppertje!

Very nice,,top work there and the view is spot on,,,hopefully il see this at next years polo 86c treffen Holland :-D

So we are slowly progressing! Most of the things are done, last bits are of to powdercoating.

The VWM Cupframe is fitted, got the final welds and is now off to powdercoating.

We decided to go for a toothed belt conversion (65mm), so now I am extra curious how it will sound..

Still need to be done:

- All the cooling in place (hoses, radiator, intercooler).

- Front has to be mounted again

- New connectors for the headlights fitted

- Getting the interior in get some leather on the backseat.

- Still 100 of small things

Little pic of the underside:

And the next update (without pics).

65mm pulley and belt are in! I will go for a toothed version.

Anyone has an vid Youtube with a G40 toothed belt conversion?

I am very curious how it will run and sound!

So guys, finally the car is almost ready!

Just need to fit the Porsche 996 seats and some small things. And then after 2 years I can drive it again.

The engine runs proper sweet, I love the sound and how it revs up now.
