Wonder if I can get some help, I've got a VW Polo 6n 2000 W reg 5 door, the driver side window packed up so I stripped out the door purchased a new regulator and new motor and the problem is still there just a click every so often, so I decided to change the window switches done that and its still the same, today I decided to try and dig a little deeper so I tried the window on the passenger side from the drivers side switch and it sometimes just clicks and when it does go down it shudders all the way down and up, but when I disconnect the motor connector on the drivers side the passenger side window works normal, and when I reconnect it does the same again, I have tried this on the old and new motor and its the same, any ideas please.

checked the wiring and socket going into the door?

could be a damaged wire,or water may have got at the sockets contacts

Thanks very much, I traced it to a broken earth in the loom between the door and connector door shut.
