Bought Something And The Seller Willnot Reply!

Featured Replies

Okay, I bought a genuine mk2 coupe s leather gear gaitor and gearknob off one of the members on here, and I paid for it then after 2 weeks I messaged him asking where it was.. and after a few times he messaged me back stating that he posted it and that if it doesn't turn up he would refund me. So nearly a week later there is still no sign and I have messaged him saying that It has not turned up at all, then this morning I messaged him asking for a refund as there is clearly been nothing sent and he still will not reply to me but he has been online since having all of my messages..

What shall I do?

I've tried opening a case through paypal but it will not let me and I didn't even send it as a gift?

Depends how it was sent, I sometimes use royal mail standard parcels and they can take upto 14 days to arrive (I've had problems in the past)

I know the royal mail can be slow, but surely he would reply to me?

Is there not a set amount of time that you have to give them before you can put in a claim?

well it says 45 days

who was the member you bought it of have you tried to contact by phone or through a friend on here perhaps

well it says 45 days

I think 45 days is max amount of time before you can't make a claim. Why did PayPal say you can't claim?

Well he's not a club member so I may aswell say.. It is 'ska_wars' but I see he has been on here awhile though?

Also on paypal it says that it doesn't recgonise the transaction ID for some stupid reason

Refunds don't come up as a transaction I don't think, just changes the status of original transaction, have you looked for that?

Still not working, so I am going to phone up paypal tomorrow

If hes been on here a while maybe he has a genuine reason

Has nobody picked up on there being no such thing?

The gearknob is a foam/rubber compound depending on the model year (they look identical but are not) moulded to look like leather, and the gatier is a vinyl-coated foam on a material base sheet.

This may seem trivial, but the fact is there is absolutely no leather content at all, and if he's advertised them as such then you've kinda fallen at the first hurdle..

Will be interesting to see where this goes.

My gear knob was leather.. the gaiter was vinyl though :)

Wow, seen ones from various years, never leather. The inserts from the foam ones don't fit the rubber ones, bit of a pain. There's a real leather one? News. Might have to hunt for someone selling one - oh, wait..

I've done away with the gatier and console, got a rubber gatier straight to the floor instead. Basic but i like that.

My bad lol, I meant to say leather gearknob and gaitor..

Anyway, I've been on the phone to paypal and they said they will do their best to sort it.

Also I've messages him again and still no reply, yet he is on here trying to sell coupe s wheels...
