Finally got pulled over the other night after over 3 years of driving.

I was pulled because i sped of from the lights a little too quickly (in which i hold my hands up for) right under the nose of a traffic cop which was waiting at the other side of the junction.

He asked for an explanation (i blamed it on the fact the taxi behind me was tailgating closely and it was making me paranoid he would crash into the back), he was happy and just told me to go easy.

When i was about to leave his patrol car to get back into mine, he got out with me and pointed his flash light at my rear 'legal' dubmiester pressed plate. At first just said it was ilegal. I asked him why and he said "it isn't reflective enough".

Now at this point i nearly tried to argue it was legal and i have the paperwork to prove it, BUT... he was right.. he shone his light on them and they really were not that reflective at all. They have been on the car for just over a year now.

Morel of the story is..... KEEP THEM CLEAN guys, and check how reflective they are often. I reckon they have faded over time in the sun or something. I nearly got a fine but after he realised how annoied looked at not realising how unreflective they were he just said "get on you're way and make sure you change them".

I got home and cleaned the back plate, looks a bit better now but no where near as bright as they where when i first bought them. He didn't seem bothered about them being pressed or metal so i might buy a new back plate from dubmiester as i do like how they look!

Yeap give it loads or make a fuss and they'll be a dick back, got stopped in my 6n for making lots of noise at one point and tbh had a good giggle with the police whilst they ran the vehicle details through and they expressed how much they liked their new LED torches :)
