Planning a 20v conversion in january and if i keep these i will be in a hedge after 2 days so trying to get all the brakes and suspension set up done now out the way, but aint got a clue what brakes could be used :S

Don't the fits come with 20vt's, surely the breaks off that will do

The job?

My 9n TDi Brakes are awesome as standard :? Maybe something up with yours?

For bigger than 256mm you will need different hubs as the standard ones are also the carrier. You'll need hubs from a fabia.

For the engine i have now they are pretty good but i would rather be safe than sorry, would prefer to get bigger ones just for piece of mind so if i need them i know they are there

Read on a form earlier that i can get 323mm discs because they share the same hubs as Mk4 Golf GTI, Mk1 Audi TT, Mk1 Seat Leon, Mk4 R32

Is this true or a load of crap? And also seen about porsche calipers aswell?

As above the hubs are the carriers, so if you are handy with fabricating brackets etc then you can fit other caliPers and bigger discs etc. but as above if they make them ready to fit from the gti and they work it's probably going to be more then enough?

Na mate I'm shit with fabricating lmao only thing i can do is i do hydro dippin on the side for some extra cash lol, so you think 9n3 gti brakes will stand upto the job?

I haven't tried them personally, but if vw tested them and produced them then surely they are up to the job. Also bear in mind if your planning on upping the power or using for track days then you might want even bigger brakes but for road use I am sure hey will more then enough.

Just get hubs with seperate carriers and it'll open up lotsa possibilities

I was looking at whacking some TT brakes on mine after i've changed the front hubs.

Mainly just for the looks , My tdi brakes are decent enough stop the car in no time at all. Standard disks / pads on front.

Mates A3 turbo out back looks awsome with great big calipers and disks- TT setup

I'm asuming they work well too
