Featured Replies

I have eventually came back to VAG after owning a good few cars since my last, this is car number 20.

Well i bought this polo two weeks ago looking like this;

it had some pretty gay mods on the inside too

well it basically started life in Glasgow being purchased from crow road car showroom as a blue 1.4 8v cl, it moved around glasgow for a bit then went to germany, it came back to the UK and ended up in woking, before eventually coming back up to glasgow and i then bought it, pretty cheap.

the previous owner has resprayed it in Ford Diamond White, which does look awesome on the polo, it looks a really fresh white, it has also been converted to a 1.4 16v dohc.

well here is my progress on turning this into a nice wee polo!

day 1:

bought the car in the state above!

day 2:

got on with replacing front bumper, grill, surround, lowering a bit more, removing exhaust, changing hideous rear lights and removing horrible interior badges and leds.

so fuelled up for the day

and got onto work!

so rather than selling the audi front bumper i took it straight to where it belongs!

the dump!

left it the way it was for a couple of days, then a gear linkage cable broke on me, (no pics), and it was going to be £80 to replace each cable, thought no way and went to abbey car breakers in paisley and got the whole lot including gear stick and knob for £15.

after fixing the gears i then gave the car a good polish and scrubbed the wheels to get rid of tar and yellow deposits, removed the centre caps, then my friend came over with his golf so got a few pics.

new wheels, hopefully some dish

maybe new interior

full service

etc etc etc

rate/slate please

Transformation happened for the best, can't believe someone actually done that to the front of it :|

as soon as i clicked on this and seen the first few pics i thought oh no hahaah. but you've turned it round, looks goood man good start, love white 6N's. looks like your on the right track (Y)

Needless to say...an amazing transformation haha.

Reason it's probably Diamond White is because it's the cheapest white paint to buy next to 5L's of Dulux haha.

I swear there was a thread on the polo chat forum section haha, anyways uve done main on transforming it to the way a polo should look

Preferred it before tbh...

Wayyyyyyy, nice to see someone doing it right!

I do believe this car has been mentioned a fair amount in the Polo chat section, before you bought it ;)
